Time to replace the toilet seat on our Kohler® toilet, I wanted to go to Lowes® right away but my wife wanted to check out Walmart® first. So, we did and we found a replacement seat that resembled the current one and was reasonably priced. To say the lease it worked worse that the one we replaced and headed to Lowes®. I generally research on line before I shop but with one of the best seats in the house in trouble I didn’t have time. We found this model 4694-0 a good buy and made by the same manufacture as out toilet bought it, and it was less than the one at Walmart, and better yet still another 10% off because I am a veteran. I still shop at Walmart, I needed a magnifying glass and Lowes® doesn’t carry one. (Yet).

Rated 5 out of 5 by nancyj5340 from Overall, an excellent product My previous seat was a generic brand from a different store. It never set right on the bowl, no matter what I tried. It finally gave way at the pivot points for the brackets that hold the seat to the lid. This Kohler is much better made. It went on right the first time with no problems. It feels much more secure on the toilet. The cheap seat I had before slid left and right with my movements. I have not had that problem with this seat at all. My only concern is the plastic brackets that hold the lid and seat to the toilet. I would feel more secure with metal brackets. But for the price, I like this one very much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by David from Easy to install, stays tight I bought this for my American Standard Champion toilet. The toilet came with a cheap plastic seat, so I bought a slow-closing seat to replace it but the slow-closing feature kept malfunctioning. This is a sturdy, wood seat with no whistles or bells but it does the job. It is slightly too short for the American Standard toilet, but with a seat cover to match the bath mat it's not noticeable. I installed it, and I'm not a DIY'er but it was easy and has stayed tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Becky from Kohler does it again! Needed replacements for my toilet seats...problem was going to be finding seats which would work with the "risers" I use in both bathrooms. Use four-inch metal bolts which fasten the seat to the riser (3 inches)and worked perfectly with the hinge design for this Kohler seat. Also, had plastic before and really like the compressed wood and finish along with being much more comfortable to sit on. This seat was on sale and purchasing two saved me money. Thank you Kohler for a design that makes my toilets look like new and still able to use my risers. Also, thank you Lowes for having a display that enabled me to quickly find and determine this was the seat I needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sam from Kohler Ridgewood Wood Toilet Seat The KOHLER Ridgewood Wood Toilet Seat attaches tightly and sturdy to the toilet bowel. It is heavy and solid. No sliding side to side or back and forth when sitting on it. Con: The seat does not lowers to the bowel opening slowly. The seat falls to the toilet bowel quickly and makes a loud slamming noise if you let go of it while lowering.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Penny from instalation problems The product is well made and appears easy to install just tighten the bolts. I am not sure if I did something wrong or it is product design but the seat wants to slide sideways. I purchased and installed two and both of them are doing this. I just don't know what to say.
