no switch ... Outlet should be checked (night light) Display should show be expecting the time set! Bypassing it will show a "0"

This literally just happened to me 3 weeks ago, and the appliance repair would be more than I paid for this unit. Manufacturer's warranty is only a year, but the store likely offered you an extended 3 year warranty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by glenn64 from Nice when new but stopped working It looks nice, I liked the inverter technology and it was one of the few microwaves that fit in the space we have. Some of the family disliked the singing when cooking was complete. However to me the most important feature is reliability, and this product failed. After about 6 months it seemed to take longer progressively longer to heat food but still functional. Suddenly, after 10 months it stopped heating altogether. It looked like it was working but I when the singing to indicate food was done started, food was still frozen. Tested with water and it didn't warm at all, just a few clicking sounds and my kids thought it might explode.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sa7375 from The Best — Hands Down All microwaves heat food: so does this — but this does with a style and convenience I hadn't experienced before and indeed to my complete satisfaction — rather pleasure. There is a finesse to everything — the music that sounds at the end of a cycle, the setup of time that can be fine-tuned with a touch of 10-second increments , the light inside of the oven that is bright enough to make the food inside visible. And it also reminds you if you forget to take the food out with another jingle :) Read its features and you'l find it well worth the pleasure to own and use it. Well done, LG: you got it perfect this time.

But it’s still not really elegant... Not sure why microwave manufacturers still insist on silly music chimes when a cooking cycle completes, or why they think consumers want to read laser-etched badges every day for the rest of their lives screaming “10-YEAR WARRANTY” or “EASY CLEAN” or “SMART INVERTER” other lame badges marring the faceplate... anyhow... hoping for the day a microwave face is completely blank and disappears seamlessly into a kitchen counter...

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nabfour from Looks Great, performs poorly. My last microwave finally died after 23 years. I bought this microwave in January 2018. It had good reviews for the price. I was not impressed. The timer controls don't respond to touch frequently and are awkward. It takes 15+ minutes to cook three medium potatoes sometimes. Every time I cook something, I assume I have to add time to the box instructions, or the food will be lukewarm. The defroster cooks the edges and leaves the middle frozen. As of June 2020, the display numbers are disappearing one by one, so I can't read the clock or the food timer. I will never consider another LG product after this microwave failed after 2 1/2 years of use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by R Carter from Reasonable price lacks ease of use features Recently purchased the LMC0975 and I have found the unit to be adequate but not stellar in both ease of use functions and user interface adjustability. One example is the audio tone that plays at the end of a use cycle and continues as a reminder melody until you open the door or clear the touch screen. It is easy to expect that the the user could either turn down, decrease frequency or turn off the audible tone but none of these basic options are available. The tone melody is factory set and cannot be changed. There are other user interface choices that make the machines use less intuitive than one would expect from a home appliance in 2019.

I think LG missed important details when designing the control pad. The printing of the control panel is in low contrast to the background, so you need direct light to see what to press. Also, in an effort to offer automatic tasks, there are a number of combinations you have to input to find the task you want. I can handle it, but people who have trouble understanding machinery will become frustrated. I like the LED lighting inside, and the oven is relatively quiet.

I had my doubts if this unit would be worth the price, higher than most microwaves. If you can afford the extra bucks, I encourage you to buy. Sleek design and functionality make this worth every penny. Unlike most microwaves, you have to read the instructions to use. The buttons are not visible when door is closed making it great looking with other high end stainless appliances. It is quiet and works beautifully. It is an LG product which means it should last longer than competition.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave is nice looking and a nice size, however I don't at all like the operational buttons on the inside. The door has to be open to access most of the actions except for time, start and stop. I also don't like that I can't choose the time I want, for example 1 minute 45 seconds, I have to press the up button and it goes up only in 10 second intervals. I needed a microwave with a door you pull to open and push to close quietly not one with a button that pops it open and you have to slam to close. This was the only one in this size I could find.
