This Maytag electric cooktop equipped with reversible grill and griddle facilitates cooking and makes your life easier. The griddle's rubber grips ensure safe, slip-free placement on the cooktop. It heats up quickly and cools slowly, so I can turn off the burner before my whatever is quite finished and it continues cooking with no fear of burning while I finish up other items for the meal. Love the griddle and the cooktop’s bridge connecting two burners for heating up the whole thing. Perfect for pancakes and French toast for the family. Everything seems to heat evenly, water boils in a reasonable amount of time, surface is easy to clean, and overall it is attractive to look at.

Rated 1 out of 5 by eruchristo from Stay away! I have been cooking for 40 years, and this is, by far, the worst stove I have used. Temperature is inconsistent between burners. Two of the burners are incapable of bringing water to a boil, and the right-front burner will heat up to 500+ degrees on low. The griddle takes 10+ minutes to come to temperature. I feel sick to my stomach thinking about how much I spent on this stove. One of the worst purchases I have ever made. I wish I had the contractor-grade stove that we replaced instead. I deeply regret buying this stove.

I like the side dials and the lack of major electronics. What I am not liking is the ceramic top which is hard to clean and never looked like new after using it even though I was meticulous about its care. As most appliance manufacturers have completely turned around their business model to produce cheap appliances at a high price that need to be replaced many times more often in order to equal the lifespan of appliances from the 70’s and 80’s, time will tell how much I really like this unit.

Plenty of room for various size pans. Like the large knobs. Makes it easy to turn on and see what the settings are. The glass top is different finish than our old cooktop and took some learning to me able to clean the glass and make it look clean and not smudgy. Overall, very good product and happy with purchase.

It heats up fast, and the double burner is a very cool feature. With the included griddle, I'm grilling steak as if I'm outback on my deck; grill marks and all. I also appreciate the rugged construction. The knobs seem very durable, unlike those of past brands. Cleanup is also fairly easy. It's a solid American made product, backed up by an impressive ten year warranty. That little extra is the peace of mind, that sold me.

The control markings and burner indicators are very hard to see. I like the grill/griddle feature but the griddle side has deep troughs around the edges that make it difficult to cook something runny like scrambled eggs. The grill side works great for burgers, etc. The griddle cleans up well and requires very little oil to keep food from sticking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by dcroft122 from Hard to clean [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using my new cook top for the past 3 months I have found it to be very hard to keep clean. I have marks from items boiling over, etc. I have used glass cook top spray and cream cleanes with very little change. As well I have scratches from brand new pans moving on cook top. We have worked very hard to keep our cook top in good condition.
