Description

This Maytag front-load washer procures users the ultimate cleaning efficiency with a combination of Heavy Duty cycle and Extra Power function. The Extra Power button boosts stain-fighting performance on any wash program using dual-temperature wash technology. Only been running it for 6 weeks now but we couldn't be more pleased. It is very efficient cycle time wise, and the capacity is fantastic. You can barely hear it run, at least compared to our last set. Our clothes come out cleaner and dry faster than our old set too. Best feature ever - the auto detergent dispense feature. Each fill lasts about 9 loads. Sounds silly but its 9 seconds I don't have to spend pouring detergent in, PLUS 9 less spills down the front of the cabinets, and 9 less sticky plastic cups stuck to the shelf!!! It looks and works fantastic. We are 100% satisfied.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Liz Brown from Great Machine - BUT Love the machine but huge drawback - you can't bypass the Optimal Dose Dispenser or get a Single Dose Dispenser so you can change your detergents. I don't always use the same detergent (i.e. I use Woolite for my delicates) and there's no way to bypass - so I have this wonderful dispenser that holds enough for 8 loads of laundry that I can't ever use more than 1 dose of detergent in at a time in - I would have added a bypass.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago now, and I have washed my comforter which is quite bulky, king size, and poofy, about 3 times now. It does an exceptional job with that, and all my other small loads are done just as well. I love the sanitize settings, and I like that it has WiFi so I am alerted to the progress of my cycles. It’s a bit pricey, but well worth the investment. The 24 hour cycle is nice too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using my new washer for a couple weeks and am amazed at how much cleaner my close seem! I'm not sure if it is the larger capacity allowing them to tumble more freely or the ability to set the settings for exactly what I'm washing or the fact that when the load is done they are so spun out that they are barely damp. Whatever it is I love it! I also want to mention that I never thought that the WIFI feature would be useful but I have used it several times. I put a load in the washer in the morning and use the app to start the load so that it will be done when I get home from work no matter what errand I run after work.

At first I was skeptical of the “automatic” detergent dispenser and wondered if it was releasing enough but my concerns were eased after my second wash. Looks great in my small laundry room. Wish I could have gotten the chrome color but I just got a new job and new house and needed to wash clothes so I settled for white. But I’m glad I did. They look amazing. This set will not disappoint at all. Got it for a great price as well. My brother works for the whirlpool corporation. American made is always a good choice when we can.

It is such an upgrade from my prior w/d (which lasted for 16 yrs). I'm still getting used to all the great cleaning feature the machines have and have not found anything disappointing. With the long standing reputation Maytag has, I have no doubt my satisfaction will be long lived. My family has been life-long Maytag users - all the way back to the wringer years, LOL. The one concern I have is being able to clean the drain filter. I fear that task may present a challenge - remains to be seen.

I love the fact that the fresh hold kicks in automatically when the washer stops and keeps your clothes fresh until you get them to the dryer. I actually think my clothes come out fluffier and better since I got my new washer/dryer set. When the washer stops the clothes are almost dry. Amazing! I do wish that the End of Cycle Alarm was a little louder. But that is just a minor detail. All in all, I am thrilled! I have recommended this set to my friends and relatives.

The features (once you get comfortable with them) yield excellent results. If you let the sensors do the work - the cycle may take a bit longer - but you save time on the other end of the laundry job. I have the matching washer - what a team! At first I thought I was being ridiculous in my spending - but no longer! Worth every penny! The pedestals are overpriced - but bring the set to a great height for doing laundry, I would not give them back!

I didn't like it that the narrow groove at the top of the detergent drawer "stair-stepped" down from the groove that extended beyond the drawer -- it was slightly misaligned. At first I was afraid that the dealership would take on a "lump it, lady" attitude about that. But the Maytag repair man fixed it to where it's hardly noticeable. It was more of an eyesore than anything else, but visual people like things right and don't want to be reminded that they spend all that money on something less than perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new drier is great - fast, easy to set options, and quiet, and the refresh - steam refresh function is great. Having said that, the operating instructions are minimal, but when we called customer service, their response was great and helpful. Our only issue was getting the cycle sensor volume up so we hear the cycle end. But Maytag has a better solution - we connected to wi-fi, and my bride can control everything she wants to control from her phone. and better - when a cycle completes, it sends a notification to her, and can message someone to unload and fold clothes.

I don't know how to bypass the automatic dispenser for detergent and the complete cycle signal is so quiet you could leave a baby in the room and they wouldn't wake up. It has a lot of bells and whistles that I may never learn to use. I wanted the top of the line and I surely got it. I've been putting HE liquid detergent in manually and I use a manual timer to let me know when the cycles are finished, but wish I didn't need to do that extra step. The softener dispenser works well, as does the liquid bleach dispenser. I love the light in the wash tub. I would recommend this product to a friend with reservations.

I actually ordered them the first week in January and got them delivered on April 13th. And I had no washer so I was going to the laundromat. My friends thought I was crazy to wait, they said just go buy something else. But they were worth the wait. I’m still learning how to do everything on them but the feature I really like is adding laundry soap up to the line and it releases it on each load as it adjusts for the size load. They are so quiet and so big. The only thing I would like to be able to hear the buzzer better. I can’t hear it unless I’m in that room. I did turn it up but it still isn’t very loud.

Very loud when hot water is entering washer, can’t wash at night if you want to get sleep. After 6 weeks started getting FLO LO alarms. But design is kinda flawed you have to really push really hard and hold for them to be recognized. Very good customer service they have had a tech out here 3 times. The quality of the wash is very good not gonna even down play that, clothes come out clean. But sorry for the price I’ll be returning these and going a different brand.

Don't buy this piece of garbage unless you have a crush on your maytag man and need an excuse to get him to come to your house. I've bought this machine twice in the past 18 months and they have both broken down. The first time, they couldn't tell me when the part would be available so I just sucked it up and bought a new one. Now, 6 months later, the new one is broken too. It's all to do with the control board - apparently it's a known problem but they keep selling this piece of tin.

Though the combo works great there is one design flaw that could have been easily fixed and needs to be fixed. I bought this unit to have a new washer and dryer for my baby. We knew we were going to be doing lots of laundry and to have a mobile app to notify us and 24 hour fresh hold in case we cant get to finishing the laundry was a huge plus. Well the baby came and with a baby comes a second detergent but with this unit there is no way to disable the optimal load dispenser so you either wash all your clothes in baby soap or leave the optimal load dispenser empty and ignore the error every time you do laundry. This should be an easy fix that Maytag hopefully incorporates into the app.

Energy efficiency is #1 for me and this meets my expectations. It's very quiet, uses so much less water than I thought it would, fits my Queen and King sized blankets with ease - and there's a light inside! No more wayward socks because you can see what you're reaching for! The pedestal is an option I'm glad I got also, because it fits all my laundry bottles and raises the machine up to a very comfortable height.

Last summer we visited our old home. The folks who bought it told us how much they like not only our home but the front load laundry pair! So, when it was time to replace our current laundry set, we went back to Maytag and their new front load laundry pair. We got pedestals this time and love that feature. We've only had these units for 6 days but glad we bought them.

I like the detergent auto dispenser, and thought the Wi-Fi would be a gimmick but it’s actually really handy as I often forget to put wet clothes into the dryer. The fresh hold feature is also very nice. It has a nice big capacity and cleans clothes, bedding, and towels well. The only criticism I’d give is the sounds it makes; The starting beep is negative sounding, like you’ve done something wrong. Hard to tell if it’s started or not. The engineers should have made it more clear with a ding or a display of “start!”

We get notifications when the wash is done , when the detergent is low. It is very convenient. Love the 24 hour hold feature that keeps the clothes fresh after the wash. I like the automatic detergent dispenser . I fill it once every 8 loads and you don't have to worry about it. It decides how much it needs base on the load. it took few tries to setup the wifi on the weekend, but once it got it works like a charm. Like the remote start. This is my first Maytag appliance and I hope is not going to be the last. Thank you Maytag!!!

The controls are intimidating at first. I actually read the manual before running the first load. Very impressive washer. I expected to miss the faster spin speed of the Duet, but the dryer more than makes up for the moister laundry. I love liquid detergent metering and Extra Power. I thought Wi-Fi connectivity was silly, but I am going to use it after all to keep wash day moving at top speed because I can't hear this washer running beyond the laundry room door which is delightful.

We don't like a lot of bells and whistles -- just straightforward operating procedures, and this Maytag fit the bill. I like that it senses how much liquid detergent to use and "takes" that amount from the reservoir. No problem with soap residue building up on clothes. We bought the white one -- it has easily readable lettering on the dial and a readout on the right-hand panel that lets you know the temps and speed of the cycle you select (and you can alter temps and speed with a touch -- so every load is able to be customized to your liking). This is a solid and handsome machine!

I was looking for quality at a reasonable price and came upon this dryer and it's accompanying washer during my search. I was looking for a smart dryer that would keep me informed through the drying process. The Maytag app is simple to add these appliances into and has been flawless keeping me updated. The dryer is also a work of art. The machine just looks beautiful! It has an abundance of drying cycles and dries clothes incredibly fast. Maytag has always been known for quality products and this dryer will not disappoint you.

I HAVE BEEN A AN LG FAN PRIOR TO THIS BUT THIS MACHINE IS VERY QUIET, GET THINGS CLEAN, AND THE SPIN GETS THEM DRY. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS MACHINE. THE CYCLES ARE A LITTLE LONGER BUT THE RESULT MAKE IT WORTH THE EXTRA FEW MINUTES.I AM 76 AND I FOUND THIS EASY TO USE WITHOUT ANY ISSUES. IF I KNEW HOW I WOULD HAVE POSTED PICTURES.

It was more than I was going to spend but since gas dryers are impossible to find right now during the pandemic, I found this set. The dealer was able to work with me a little on price. But, this washer is amazing, holds a ton and is so quiet. Love the automatic dispenser. Using much left detergent and my items come out so clean. I am delighted with this unit and will again never buy anything by Maytag. Happy laundry!

I was looking for top quality at a reasonable price and also looking for a smart washer that would keep me updated on the washing process. This washer caught my eye first just by the sheer beauty of it! The machine just looks like a work of art. This washer has an abundance of wash cycles that can have you a load of clean clothes in as little as 15 minutes if you're in a hurry and the steam option is so helpful in getting clothes clean. It can not be turned off and we have to throw detergent in the door before starting the washer. Had I known, I would not have bought this model.

Rated 2 out of 5 by L E N from Dries well but controls hard to read [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dryer is stackable, so we stacked it on top of our washer. The dryer controls, however, face upwards and are not lit, so it is very hard to read. Another odd feature is that you must hold the Start button for 3 seconds EVERY TIME. That is wasted time; my previous dryer simply required a quick press of the Start button. It makes we wonder if the engineers who designed this machine ever actually tried using it. I don't prefer this dryer but will be keeping it because it is the closest equivalent to my previous dryer that my home warranty company could provide. One nice feature is that it comes with a free dryer rack (by mail).

The optimal dispense drawer is very handy, as I don't have to load detergent every wash! The great options this washer has are a bonus! I have different loads that require different cycles and this model has every option you would need! I have not tried wi-fi connect yet but its definately going to be useful! I do have the pedestals which not only looks great, but makes it easier to put clothes in the washer and easily to the dryer!
