Cordless Brad Nailer - 18-Gauge - 18 V Lithium-Ion is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 47.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hitachi 18-Ga. Brad Nailer cordless (NT1850DE) The Brad-Nailer works great, after charging the 3.0 ah Battery. Was able to place the Brad-Nailers where I want them placed. The Battery has no status cage on charge state, the tool has a 2 red led status cage not the best setup. If you can nail 1,650 on a single charge the battery will last for me. Also bought a 5.0 ah battery. Have not ran out of battery charge when using the Nailer. It is a improvement not having a hose pulling on the nailer. Overall the accurate nail placement is great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid performer I am a professional carpenter. This is a really nice cordless brad gun. It shoots and countersinks the nails very well and it's solid! I have been using it for several weeks now and it hasn't missed a shot or jamb. I give it four stars instead of five because it is a little heavy and tough to get into tight corners because the head is large. Also, its a pain to push an on/off button prior to using the gun. It came with a bag; I would have preferred a case. The bag is almost too small to hold the gun, 2 batteries and charger. Despite all the minor negatives I would definately buy this gun again and highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best for pros. DIY crowd might have issues. No dry fire lockout, so heads up when your mag is empty or you'll be leaving some dents in the trim. Safety switch in the handle prevents accidental/negligent discharge. Out of the box, this safety is engaged. Anyone too dumb to figure out how to turn it on has no business using a nailer in the first place. It's a good trim gun, way heavy compared to pneumatic brad nailers, but still lighter than any decent compressor and hose. If you're reasonably fit there should be no issues with weight. DIY guys and gals would probably do best with a Porter cable combo pack for 2/3 the price. Pros will love the freedom. It's really nice to be free from hoses and compressor noise when you are nailing all day. Makes it easy to trim out a whole house quick, or install tongue in groove ceilings without the hassle of dancing around a hose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hitachi brad nailer This is an extremely handy self contained brad nailer. I used this for putting up light trim boards in our newly remodeled master bath. I adjusted brad depth on scrap wood so it would be perfect on the final work. Surprised how long a charge on the battery lasted. Used it all day and charged at night. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice product all things considered. Bought the 18 and 15 gauge angled 18 V guns. Understanding the need to be consistant on angle of gun tip placement is crucial. Also pressure applied to the stock has an effect on nail depth. This is not unusual with pneumatic nailers so these guns must be learned in the field. These are fairly nice nailguns that allow me to shoot my compressor. Ill take that anyday. Very nice product Hitachi. I give 4 stars only because of the odd placement angle of the tip on the 15 gauge angled gun. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fast and easy Nailer But... Main review: I used this to tack on the board when I was installing my fence. The bump feature makes the nailing go so much faster. But the depth adjustment is useless on the slow mode and inconsistent on bump mode. The depth of the nail head sometimes very deep and sometimes just flush on the wood. The tip will mar the wood if you will be using this for trimming. Hitachi nails that I used for this also is very soft. The fence board I used were very soft and the nails sometimes would bend going in to the wood. If the nails ran out and you were not paying attention to the low mark of the magazine, it will still shoot and it will leave a deep indentation on the wood. So watch out for that if youre using this for trim work as you will fill a lot of deep grooves. Performance rating: I give this 3 star because of the depth adjustment and the nose leaves a deep groove after nailing. It has too much power to push the nails no matter how low the adjustment of the nose. Quality: 5 star. I like how sturdy it is and it feels like it is built to last. Ergonomics: 4 star. This thing is akward to hold when you are trying to be precise. It is a bit bulky and heavy for my feel. But im sure someone with King Kong hands and arm will fit this beast just right. Realiability: Never choke down on me. It keeps on going no mattter what. In conclusion: I give this a 4 star and I would recommend this item. But for trimming use, I would say be careful how to use this thing as it will leave deep grooves on where you put your nail.
