Will this work with an 18 v ridged slide battery

Hi there. Metabo HPT 18V cordless power tools require Metabo HPT (or Hitachi) 18V or 18V/36V MultiVolt slide type batteries. If you are trying to use another brand's battery, then it will not work. Hope this helps.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SilentSeven from Barely decent - re-incarnated dustbuster at best A generally poor design hand vac with no distinguished features. Think '1990's dustbuster'. Particularly annoying is the filter setup - it quickly clogs up with dust before the bin is full. The nose tool attachments get stuck on and you have to pry them loose with a screwdriver. Suction is decent. Noisy. Runs forever on a 36v battery. Only reason to buy this is if you can find it super cheap and need a hand vac. I expect more from Metabo....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A fairly straightforward "dustbuster" type vacuum that can function either for dry or wet pickup. I find pairing it with a MultVolt battery (preferably the smaller model for balance and minimal fatigue) works best; these types of tools drain batteries quicker than ones that don't run as continuous. I used to drag out my shopvac when cleaning out my car, but this is much more convenient!

Isn’t very powerful, but it’s really nice that it uses the same batteries as my drill etc. The attachments are nice to have. Overall, it’s not an amazing product, but I’ve enjoyed it, so long as I didn’t need it to suck too hard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by William2 from Nice vacuum, but should have round end It's a nice little vacuum. The filter clogs up quickly, but that's unavoidable, I guess, judging by size of the filter. Main complaint is, attachment end is flat and proprietary. The end should be round and compatible with other standard vacuum attachments which I already have.
