Description

Drive carriage bolts or long deck screws into wooden posts with Metabo HPT impact driver. The triple hammer impact driver measures 5 in L, 3 in W and 11 in H. It is compatible with multivolt batteries.

Does it come with your choice of free battery or corded adapter like it shows in the last pic for this product?

Hi there. The WH36BDQ4M is sold as a bare tool so all the power options including batteries and the AC adapter are sold separately. We will work with Lowes.com to get the photos clarified so it is less confusing. Hope this helps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first impact drive and I love the power, and the multiple variable speed settings aside from the variable trigger. This is extremely useful, the power to weight ratio is perfectly balanced. Having the water resistant rating is also a HUGE WIN for this tool. I've been in rain in a few occasions and there is no doubt what so ever in regards to durability and reliability when it comes to rain. The hex chuck does need two hands to put in a bit, which hopefully, can be upgraded along with a ring type or 3 led's instead of the led it comes with. Aside from that, this tool is a BEAST !!!

I’ve done everything from fasten, cabinets, structural screws, and concrete with this impact gun and it never ceases to amazing me with its power and durability. I’ve dropped it quite a few times from high heights, scraped and bumped it into things, it still looks new. But this thing will send tapcons, ledger locks, timber, you name it it’ll send it. I have the 36v battery which is obvious a little heavier than it’s 18v Predecessor but I still find it to be light weight, it can take hits, and drive all day.

No problem or issues driving, tightening, and staying smooth over the period of time today. The beating it takes on a daily basis on the job, and around different job sites, for the work that it does. The product can not be touch by any other impact driver at all. The speed and power is amazing compared to other drills. It is lightweight, and compact to Cary on your side with or without tool belt. I love my Metabo and all my power tools will be Metabo!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After handling several different impact drivers at a home improvement store, I picked up the Metabo HPT Impact driver. I immediately noticed the great ergonomics, quality feel in the hand, and I love the larger, more positive switch for changing the rotation of the tool. The variable speed trigger is capable of the finest of work, or you can countersink large deck screws effortlessly. The triple hammer design is not a gimmick either, it’s a feature that you can feel having used other drivers with two hammers. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would do it again tomorrow.

This is an amazing impact driver, it outperforms most of the competition and with its 3 speeds and 4th mode is highly functional for any task it can be put up against. It works great for larger fasteners and for steel framing. I would recommend though if you buy one to get yourself a 2.5/5ah battery rather than the 4/8ah simply for size, I find with the limited selection of Multicolor batteries at this time it can be a little tricky to get those big batteries into small places to put this impact to its use. I would love to see a smaller MV battery in the future just for applications with this drill that require it to fit tight spaces. All in all though, would totally recommend it.

In the past, I have always been able to use my Makita impact driver for these sorts of fasteners, but it was no match for the 8” length. I was skeptical that the triple hammer would provide that much more torque. WAS I WRONG! This thing is a beast. It not only drove the bolts, but with power to spare. I recently added to my Metabo 36v lineup with the recip saw, and have been just as impressed. The rear handle would be an awesome addition to the line up, not only for the power it will no doubt provide, but in the reach as well when cross-cutting plywood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Robert B from A Beast!!!—best impact driver on market I purchased my Metabo HPT 36V impact to replace my older Ryobi that finally burned up and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. This thing will drive 6” & 7” timberlok screws through 6x6 post like a hot knife through butter. I used to think buying 2 cheap impacts would be better than buying 1 expensive impact from a “good brand” until I actually had one of the “good brands.” I will never buy another brand of power tools. Love it for heavy jobs that require the power. I have a smaller black compact Metabo HPT impact that I use for ceiling fan installs, switch plate covers, and other similar light jobs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a long time user of hitachi products and decided to jump aboard the metabo HPT multi volt platform. I have German made metabo products as well. The triple hammer is terrific in regards to assigned torque levels and the IP rating is fantastic outdoors. I am not the biggest fan of the forward/reverse switch as it’s pretty “wobbly”. The same mechanism in the metabo LTX 18 volt model is much more refined but larger with the same triple hammer mechanism. Overall a fantastic tool. Glad I bought into the multi volt platform.
