Hi there. The WH36BDQ4M is sold as a bare tool so all the power options including batteries and the AC adapter are sold separately. We will work with Lowes.com to get the photos clarified so it is less confusing. Hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Frenchie from One year review I’ve been using the Mutivolt triple hammer for a little over a year now. This is no doubt the best impact I’ve ever used. This is the second Multivolt tool I purchased. (The first was the hammer drill it’s what sold me on Multivolt.). After a year of use there is only two very minor things I would change. The first would be a one handed bit change chuck. Not a big deal but when you’re 12ft in the air on an extension ladder it would be helpful. The other is a personal problem really. I have fairly big hands so the grip is a little short for me. Other than that though I wouldn’t change a thing. I would warn people though that this is a super powerful impact. Powerful enough in fact that I have busted a few P2 bits from a certain yellow competitor and I’ve twisted up the ends of every T20 and T25 bit from the red competitor I’ve ever put in it and had it set to P mode. It’s a monster for sure.

I can honestly say this impact takes everything you love about the current triple hammer and turns it up to 11! Most of the work I use my tools for is automotive but recently I have been messing around with woodworking. For this review I put the impact to the test building myself a desk. I am currently writing this review from that desk and can say this tool did amazingly. It sunk every screw perfectly. The weight and size is perfect for a tool like this, any smaller and I feel it would be annoying to use. The bolt mode is a game changer to me as it turns the triple hammer into a beast of a tool! The only thing that I would consider changing about the tool is possibly adding a quick eject feature, but that isn't really a necessity. I am including photos of the desk build as well as a size comparison with the current 18v triple hammer, the 36v is on the top portion of the picture. I cannot recommend this tool enough, Metabo HPT truly knocked it out of the park with this driver.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] By far, the best, most versatile, ergonomic, comfortable, powerful impact driver I’ve ever used. It’s better than Hilti’s impact driver, which many have deemed as a top of the line driver. And the battery life of the Metabo is ridiculous. I go days without needing to change batteries. Batteries charge fast considering their capacity and the carrying case is very accommodating. There are multiple compartments partitioned off to store different bits and stay organized. Nothing compares to the Metabo HPT Triple Hammer Impact Driver.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have faithfully used this tool alongside friends and coworkers using the 'big three' blue red and yellow tools, and they are all blown away by the speed and power of the Metabo. The triple Hammer action is remarkable. I can also attest to the build quality and durability as it has taken a few falls to the ground and still performs perfectly. The lifetime warranty is good peace of mind but I have a feeling this tool will be performing for years to come. This impact driver is the cornerstone of my Metabo HPT collection.

Upon working at a location I left my tools there, but I had a busted water pipe at home and needed to replace my floors. I had to open, and use the 36v triple hammer impact driver on my own floors, and I will never use another impact driver again. This 36v triple hammer impact driver is so light and comfortable, and it feels great in my hand. Along with the quick action, the power it has, and the light features. This thing is truly amazing, plus the batteries last and the charger is fast. I layed new subfloor throughout my entire house, and didn't miss a beat doing with this impact driver. This beat all other brands, and is amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this impact kit about two months ago when a different impact died on me. It's as powerful as other major brands if not more then some models, the multi volt batteries hold a charge for a long time. Long enough for me to get threw a day's work easily, and they charge relatively quickly. The only thing I don't like about the driver is not having a quick insert chuck anymore, pulling back the little metal bit so I can lock my bit in is a little annoying. But if that's the worst of it I think that's a good deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TJSmith from Expectations Exceeded Due to my great experiences with Hitachi air nailers and battery-driven nailers, I decided to try the new 36v triple-hammer as an early adopter of new technology. Out of the box the impact driver is remarkably compact, but has considerable power being able to get into compact spaces. The 36v battery pack does not look and feel as heavy and brick-like compared to other packs on the market. I appreciate the build quality and IP 56 rating. Kudos to Metabo HPT for coming out with the ability to use either AC or DC for power in the multivolt line. I’m looking forward to trying other tools in the multivolt lineup. The 36v battery will work in 18v tools, with the Ah (amp hours) doubled when doing so. It is always great to have ones expectations exceeded when making any purchase, and Metabo HPT did just this with this tool!

Able to break most lug nuts loose (just out of curiocity I've tried after the snap on guy was demonstrating his little gun). Really nice tool that just gets the job done and has a really quick speed when using it. Have jad the chance to use it on some lag bolts as well and it made short work of them.

I'm very happy with my decision to stay with the Metabo/HPT line. This is my main tool I use from drywall, decks, framing, subflooring etc. It's compact, powerful ( I like the 4 electronic torque settings), the light is in the perfect spot and can be set for always on or trigger activated. The triple hammer makes quick work of 3/12" construction screws. Also, building fences/ decks in drizzle isn't a problem at all w/ the IP rating. I have gone on to purchase the 36v hammer drill, reciprocating saw, 7/14" circular saw, 16g nailer, 5 36v batteries and AC adapter. The warranty also can't be beat.

I love the different modes, which allow it not only to be a beast on long screws or tough bolts, but to be dialed down for more retailed/precision work. I’m a general contractor in Arizona, we self perform most of our work. And I’m pleasantly surprised, how many times I reach for this tool!

Mostly because I'm outside a lot and the weather had done its number on the tool. I was very interested in the water and dust protection and a number of reviews of the 18V triple hammer version were excellent. I want to go more battery powered on jobsites with table and chop saw and thought this would be a nice entry to the MultiVolt line. I have been very impressed with the power and the balance. Its new so the battery life is still exceptional. It is a nice option that the battery can work on my 18v hitachi nailers should I run one low. The speed options are easy to select. I usually run it on power mode but every once in a while the soft mode comes in handy for detail work where I would normally pull out my 12V tools. I helped my son build a very long cedar dog eared picket fence and it handled the entire day without charging. I do recommend ear protection if you are running the impact all day. It does exactly what the ads say and has tackled every job I have worked on with zero issues and as it should. My only surprise was how fast it charged the battery. Gotta admit I thought the big 4 amp hour battery would take longer. It is a nice compact design but If they ever make a 2Ah battery I'll get one just to make it a little lighter when I have small jobs or am stretched way out on a ladder.

I had, what I thought to be, the best impact driver(teal), but it wouldn’t do the job. For a 36v tool, the Triple Hammer is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to use, even all day. I was blown away by the power of this beast! It easily took care of the job at hand and many others. Nothing I’ve thrown at it has been able to beat it. HIGHLY recommend you try one out.

I have 4 of the 18v little brothers, (which are actually a little bigger funny as that sounds) and I love the new features and compact size of this latest addition. First, I will say that the 3 LED lights which encircle the bit are a noticeable improvement to the design of the tool. They are super bright and I often find myself using the tool as a flashlight for convenience. They provide unobstructed light where you need it and prevent shadows in tight spaces. It is even more compact which is great when you just need a little more room to fit between framing. I have used it for several projects at our latest renovation over the past few weeks and nothing seems to stop it. It drives 12” structural lag screws into pressure treated 4x6 with ease! The new bolt mode provides more than enough power to sink the lags through knots but limits the power so you can keep the heads just flush. I also found it helpful for installing hangers on 90 year old rough sawn floor joists. It prevents the screws from stripping out in the super dry lumber and is definitely a useful feature. I am very pleased with the design upgrades that have been carefully added to the best impact driver I have ever owned. This 36v version is definitely a game changer for me and I am glad the engineers are always improving and raising the bar. Sweet piece of kit here!

Battery life is awesome. Looking forward to upgrading my other tools to this new platform. The only thing is that this battery is very heavy and can get a fatigued if installing a lot of fasteners.

Dropped off the red platform for the most part. The quality and durable feel and comfort from metabo is awesome. I use the impact every day for everything from drilling to driving to wrenching nuts. Top tier quality tools here and i will be adding the multivolt impact wrench to the box soon. You wont regret these tools and the battery works on my older 18v. Hitachi/METABO. Rated 5 out of 5 by undergone976 from Best Impact Driver Ever Made [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had numerous impact drivers over the years, and the Triple Hammer is by far the strongest and fastest one I've ever used. With the torque presets you can also use it for light work without having to worry about it tearing things up. I have literally used this drill to put in tiny 3/4 screws into a medicine cabinet, and then later that day used it to take the lug nuts off of a tire. Wouldn't be able to get by at work or doing home chores without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by reynman_83 from GREEN MEANS GOOOOO!!!! Having had the previous model of the Triple Hammer Impact (Model DB) I was used to the familiarity of this new one. I was also used to, in my opinion, the best in-hand feel, and ergonomics in the business. There are so many stand out features of this new model (36DC) it's a job to put into words! Fit & Finish of the product is much improved from the last model. Driving speed is also greatly improved, 3700 rpm is among the tops in the industry. The lighting on this new model is simply TOPS. Better than any other brand I've ever used. I love the color hue of the LEDs. I love the ability to leave the light on for an extended amount of time. The driving modes on this lovely new driver are a joy to use. You can really be as finesse as you want, or as brutish as the tool will allow. Bolt mode is a standout for sure. As mentioned before, ergo, trigger, and in-hand feel are top of the industry in my opinion. I also greatly appreciate the reduced size. Only updates to be made here would be: I like the longer tabs for changing directions, but I feel they could be trimmed up just a bit, so as not to change directions unintentionally. Also, I would really love to see a Quick Insert Collet included. I'd imagine this was omitted for reliablity sake. And for that reason, it's simply a neutral in my book. I'd like to see this model represented in the 18V space in the future. I'd imagine the balance would be perfect with the smaller battery packs. It's very near perfect even with the larger 36V packs. IP56 certification continues to be a great feature. Overall, I love it. Much improved on an already great tool. This has become my go to driver (out of many different colors) for the time that I've had it. I can see this being a great sidekick for many, many trouble free years, just as the other Metabo HPT products that I use, daily. Keep it up Metabo HPT!

The tool comes with a lifetime warranty (one of the pros to going with the green machine). Its superlite even with the battery inserted its still liteweight. I’ve used the tool for a number of tasks and it has performed with ease.

Ergonomics are terrific, the variable torque is a game changer. Unfortunately, I have to keep waiting to use it as the guys I work with leave their DeWalts in their tool boxes and keep grabbing my Metabo!
