Excellent For the Back Deck
This bbq is great for small backyard spaces, as well as camping. Easy to ignite and maintain heat. There are a few hot spots on the grill to watch for, but overall everything cooks evenly.

Portability and Quality
This BBQ is great. Portability without sacrifice thanks to it's dual burner design. This allows for a more precise temperature control while grilling and allows for indirect cooking, where others don't. This is my favorite grill thanks to it's quality construction, ease of use and warranty. Wind has not been an issue, I have tested it in strong gusty conditions and it stays lit, even when I turn the heat down. You won't find a better one. Happy grilling!

Best BBQ I ever owned
I treated myself to a Napoleon Portable BBQ for Uncle's Day lol ( the day following Father's Day) two years ago. I have only been able to use it a handful of times because I live in a high-rise apartment building without outdoor BBQ areas nor am able to use my BBQ on my balcony.
I am nearly completely satisfied with my Napoleon Portable gas BBQ, the cast iron grills and griddle inserts and the accessories that I have. I carry my BBQ in the trunk of my car, ready for use at any given time like a lunch break, BBQ picnic at a park after work, days at the beach, weekends camping or a pull over at a highway rest park area.
I would highly recommend the Napoleon brand of BBQs for any serious BBQer.
I only wish there was a universal foldable and portable BBQ stand for the Napoleon Portable BBQs. As far as I know there is not one available for the 285.

Excellent with some flaws
I bought this equipment on sales in Dubai. The review I read were excellent so I gave it a try. The BBQ itself is excellent quality on the iron and the grill, had an issue with one gas handle. it is made of plastic and broke, nothing that some glue and nylon zip cannot fix but it could have been done better. Also it is not easy to clean as burners blocks the way, you need to dismantle completely.

Travel Q 285 is Superior
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great grill! It is solidly built of great materials and the finishes are A1. The folding legs and lid latch are sturdy. The heat is very good and surprising for a portable grill. I can't think of a better portable than a Napoleon and I've owned several before this. I doubt this Q285 will ever need to be replaced.

Best in Class portable grill
We live full-time in a 5th wheel trailer, and have tried numerous portable grill brands. The Napoleon TravelQ 285 is the best by far. Two burners allow you to have to grill zones. Takes about 10 minutes to get up to 500 degrees for a great sear. Wished the controls allowed you to take the fire down to 200 degrees. Even with that nit, it is the best in class in its niche.

Great Travel BBQ But.......
Love the BBQ, only disappointment is in a city with a dozen Napoleon dealers, no one appears to have or carry the replacement drip tray inserts.

So compact and efficient
I have had this for years now and it's the best portable bbq we have ever owned. It's easy and compact enough to carry around. Heats up pretty quick and maintains the heat properly without going too high or too low during the process. The rounded shape makes it easy to bbq a huge amount of stuff at the same time. Absolutely the best for outdoor parties.

Grilles en fonte????
Bonjour, nous avons acheté ce produit jeudi dernier. Nous l'avons déjà utilisé et en sommes satisfaits. Cependant, je ne sais pas pourquoi les grilles ne sont pas en stainless. Des grilles de fonte demandent beaucoup d'entretien pour un BBQ de voyage. Si vous faites des grilles en stainless, n'hésitez pas à me le faire savoir, je vais en acheter.

Amazing For Camping!
I recently got this TravelQ as a gift and I absolutely love it. I just went on my first camping trip with my daughter a few weeks back and this made life so much easier. It fit in my car taking up hardly any space, quick to set up, heated up very quickly and I literally cooked everything on it! If your a camper you so need one of these!

285x amazing portable grill
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm an experienced griller and have owned many brands of home and portable grills. The 285x is very powerful, can retain heat, has cast iron grids, and the stand is very very handy.
I have never had such good results in a portable grill before.

TravelQ is Ideal!

We love the compact size for traveling in our Airstream and love that it can generate so much heat. Really versatile grill for Travel.

Not Good for RV Conversion
We bought this prior to our last RV trip to replace the original BBQ that came with the RV. Good flavor and two burners helps with different cooking levels.
Poor RV conversion kits available which adds a 1/3 to the size of the BBQ and is awkward. A simple and short conversion kit from Napoleon is needed.

Help with parts
This is my second 285 and think they are great grills. Unfortunately when my newest arrived the leg unit was broken. I am having a hard time finding new leg attachments. I didn't want to super glue so I tossed the broken parts thinking it would be an easy order. Not so far!

I'm super impressed!
Everything about it is top quality and well thought out. The folding legs, easy carry handle, having 2 independent burners, cooks even (no hot spots)... and that jet ignition system!! Holy cow, this thing is amazing! I replaced my old WeberQ and I couldn't be happier!

Poor Flame on Full Size Tank
Bought this for camping as we have a big napoleon at home that is amazing. However this one has a very poor flame and heat when using a full size tank. Has anyone had this issue? Maybe needs to be used with small throw away tanks for better pressure?

Perfect Portable Grill
We’ve had this portable grill for about 3 years now and absolutely love it! We use it every time we go camping or even just in our backyard patio whenever we BBQ, it’s a great little grill to have, easy to use and clean and cooks the food perfectly!

Great camping BBQ

very functional
The Travel Q 285 is excellent for a portable BBQ to be placed upon something like a table. The double burner system is very handy, and to clean, it comes apart easily. There is no cart system for this model, though.

I love this grill!
Awesome travel grill. High quality materials and construction. Ignition works flawlessly. Get it super hot to sear steaks like a pro. Turn it down to roast chicken. So versatile and simple to use. I love this grill!

Best probable bbq for those that love to cook
Great portable or small space bbq. I do wish it had side handles to carry it flat when hot or not clean yet. Gets hot and having separate burner control is awsome for indirect cook or keeping food warm.

Great Camping BBQ
It's on the heavy side but works great having dual burner. I would purchase again. You can purchase accessories for it. I change the line to a quick connect to hook to RV.

The perfect travel compaion
