Oatey Quadtro, 1/4 Turn, F1807 PEX, Hammer Arrestors, Washing Machine Outlet Box is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from PEX B - not advertised as such This product on Rona's website is incorrectly identified. While this is PEX it is PEX B which needs clips or clamps to seal it. Rona should clearly identify this. I have PEX A which is the expansion type, of PEX. That there are 3 types of PEX, this confusing enough without the retailer not identifying the product. Oatey also must take some of the blame. I had to return the PEX version and buy the copper sweat fitting, and adapters to PEX A. This PEX thing needs sorting out. The product is fine, nicely made and is adjustable for odd spaced studs. Just make sure you buy the correct one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the easy handling and great looks I bought this a few weeks back and installed it in our mudroom. It looks great and works perfectly. I bought it because it has a water hammer included and to date I have not had any issues. I looks really great and very tidy once installed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Misleading. Arresters aren't what you think. Unless Oatey can prove otherwise, the hammer arresters on these valves do not stop water hammer from the actual water lines. As someone else mentioned the water circuits to these arrestors is only open when the valve is closed, meaning they would never be impacted by water flow when the valve is open. Not sure if this is a large scale design disaster on their part, or a deceptive marketing gimmick, but nowhere on their website or manuals do they even clarify how these particular arrestors work or their purpose. What's more troubling, is someone at Oatey has actually made the claim that this is false and the water circuit is open to the arrestors. If you look straight into either inlet, you'll see the ball valve has 2 openings and there is no possible pathway to the arrestors when the valve is open. This means they're 100% useless for hammer originating from the washing machine. Photo attached to prove this. And no, partially closing the valve is not a solution - if I wanted to stop water hammer by reducing flow rate, I wouldn't need these. Surprised by the deception here.
