comment on règle l'interrupteur détecteur de mouvement quand on veur dormir

Asked by: bach

Occupancy Sensor Switch is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works! Minimum 5 minute "on" time. The good news is that the switch works. It even has a sensor to not turn on the lights when there is already enough (day)light. The drawback is that the minimum "on" time is 5 minutes. (It can be raised to as much as 30 minutes.) You can set the switch to "test" mode, and have the "on" time be 5 seconds. But, at that setting you'd better be continuously moving -- or the lights will go out. We're tending to let the switch automatically turn on the lights when we enter the room, then we hit the on/off button on the way out to kill the lights as we leave. Not ideal, but it's normally on the way in that our hands are full.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install! The motion switch was easy to install with detailed instructions. I replaces a single pole switch in the laundry room to make it easy when you have your hands full coming into the room. I left the switch on the test setting which turns the lights off after 5 seconds of no movement. This was perfect for us because the laundry room is very small and the slightest movement will turn it back on again if it goes off. Plan to buy some more for a couple of large walk in closets and the garage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Motion sensing light switch The switch was difficult to locate in the store. Dwell time is easy to select and installation was not difficult. Sensitivity to motion is extraordinary - very satisfied. I expect the switch to pay for itself in less than 6 months.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Motion Senor The switch worked great, was easy to install only issue I had with the it was the timer setting. It could only be set in the following mode: Test mode - 5 Sec or 5/10/20 minutes. The packing nor the Lowes web site had this info readily available. Where I needed to used the switch only need the light to stay on for 60 Sec unless movement was detected. Would I recommend it to a friend well it would depend on the use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Once it works, it's great I'm pretty good at reading instructions. I'm not an electrician, but I've installed a lot of light switches, plug ins, lights, fans, replaced breakers, I also rebuild carburetors, and a variety of other things that I think are complex and require understanding and following instructions. I would like Cooper to know that whomever wrote the instructions have poorly represented this product. So, I'll buy more of these and I'll tell friends to as well, however, there are some important things, such as that on this switch the hot wire and neutral wire are not reversible. That would be so easy to include in the instructions, but it is not. I read it in a review on here. It is impressive that a room could have two of these replacing 3-way switches or replace a single pole. Also, cool is that you can adjust how bright the space is before the sensor turns the light on. For me, this is installed in a garage with a lot of windows, so there are many hours of the day this occupancy sensor does not need to turn the light on and you can adjust that setting as well. That's helpful for me. I suppose we have bought switches without plate covers forever, but I was surprised that this switch did not have the needed cover or mention on the package which one was needed. There are several comments about the length of time the light stays on. It is true that the time goes from 5 seconds (test) to 5 minutes, but then it's a dial labeled 5, 10, 15, 20, for how long the light should stay on after movement is no longer detected, not since it first detects movement, by the way. However, they are not individual settings, the dial continuously adjusts and those are the markings to give you a clue. Like an dial thermostat. Not every setting was printed on the dial, but infinite settings were available between the min and max. I hope this review helps someone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Work great for a week - then randomly comes on I bought this for my office in my home, which is a room next to my bedroom. When first installed in an empty room it worked fine. Once I moved my desk and other stuff in, the sensor would work fine when I entered, and keep on while working, and then 5 minutes after I left turn off. The problem is that it just randomly cuts on, especially at night so during the night the light just randomly turns on, sometimes every 30 minutes or so. There is no movement in the room, I even moved everything near the unit, cut off the air vents, etc. Nothing has worked. There should be some sort of sensitivity setting on the unit, but is not. Cooper products are normally good, this one is not.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Possessed I bought and installed this with no problems, when I started to program it is when I found out that 5 min, was shortest length of time before it turns off, I was disappointed that there was not a shorter time. I finished programming it and after the five minutes, it turned off then came back on for another 5 min., etc. The only way that it would not come back on was to turn it off with the button. After adjusting the daylight adjustment, I found that would only turn on at night, I couldn't get it to come on for day and night, it was either or, and it still not turn off and stay off. I returned it for another brand that works great, will turn off after 1 min. and works day and night.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Motion Detection Light Switch Purchased two of these for two walk-in closets. One worked perfectly, the other did not work. I did not check whether it was the switch or whether it was incompatible with the light fixture/bulbs although the package says it should have been. A couple of features I am not pleased with. There was no mention anywhere that I could find on the switch or in the instructions as to where the manual switch is located on the switch though it mentions turning it on and off in the instructions. Secondly, if the power is turned off or goes off for any reason, you have to reset it by turning the switch back on (I think I finally found the manual switch). It takes a few seconds for it to come on once pushed leading you to believe you still have a problem. The concept of motion detection switches is a good one but this switch is not for the average diyer.
