"Olympic Maximum" semi-transparent stain provides a subtle color that allows wood's natural grain and texture to show through. Core shell hybrid resin technology provides deep stain penetration, waterproofing and UV defense to strengthen, protect and condition wood fibers, ensuring the wood's natural beauty lasts. Recommended for use on exterior wood, including decks, fences, siding, railings, outdoor furniture and other wood surfaces. What is the best deck stain for Canada? Everyone is always saying that Canadian weather does allow the guarantees to apply, so what is the best product for the unpredictable Canadian weather?

Unfortunately, the stains available in Canada are terrible due to our chemical restrictions. There are some US brands that are much better, and meet our legal criteria to be shipped in. Armstrong is one of the best brands to my understanding.

Bought the Olympic Stain -Redwood can said 6 year warranty. This is the second year and looks terrible. Seems to be flaking off in spots. Followed all directions on the can. Sorry did not keep my store receipt but l still have half of the last can left.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OCD Guy from Solid Beautiful Fence Protection Installed a new cedar fence this summer on one side of the property. We did the rest of the yard earlier in 2017. We were very happy with the durability of the wood stain so we bought it again this year. It provides long lasting protection that looks great. On the West coast we basically have 2 seasons: Summer and Rain. The fence takes quite a beating with all that moisture but Olympic ‘Maximum’ Stain stands up to the job. The neutral base formula shows off the wood grain while providing solid protection. We are very happy with our purchase!

Cleaned it with the Olympic cleaner and power washed it again. The deck was so clean it was white. It never looked so good. Let it dry for a few days in the sun before I stained it. Four gallons later it looked great. Till this spring. It looks like something the birds left on it. The stain is lifting off the boards. It should have stopped after I cleaned it. I'll know not to use this stuff again. I'm not pleased with it at all

Quelque mois après, les places où nous marchons régulièrement sont déjà déteindues par l'usure! Même les barreaux d'un côté sont présentement en train de déteindres! Nous avons acheté ce produit pour sa "supposément" très bonne qualité et nous devrons le recommencer cet été! Très déçu et même en colère pour la perte d'argent et de temps...

I stained my new cedar fence in september 2016 and after a long winter by february 2016 the stain was faded and bare spots were showing in a lot of spots. Now I will have to redo the whole fence again . This product is the worse I have ever use and I will never buy it or any olympic stains again. What a waist of my time and money.
