Description

The tension of this Onward spring can be adjusted in order to close doors and gates automatically. The stop plate must be installed, and the flat side of the adjustment bolt must be always in contact with the stop plate. Ensure the plate is centred to prevent the bolt from moving it to the left or right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Greenhorn from Works great I installed one on my sister’s gate, it’s a small gate. Had a bit of an issue with the stop plate, no biggie. I installed it a year ago and no issues. I found it works best when you use an open ended wrench and position it so when you have the tension you want, you can drop the plate in the space. The wrench is not in the way.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BobG from Terrible Design Install instructions are terrible and after a few fumbled attempts, I lost the Stop plate. After a bunch of messing around I found a substitute for the Stop plate and made it work but I will look for another design for my other gates

Rated 1 out of 5 by smoothdancer from Faulty design Relies on a pressed fit between the spring and holding shaft. If you turn it too tight, which you have to in order for it to work, it slips and breaks. Bought another one and installed it, not too tightly. On the third try the backing plate popped out and landed 6 feet away. Simply a bad design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Remster from Mauvaise qualité Lors de l’installation et en ajustant la tension, le boulon pour ajuster la tension se déloge graduellement du ressort et éventuellement, finira par se décroché complètement en voulant serrer d’avantage. Peut-être une ressort d’un autre manufacturier pourra s’avérer plus efficace.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Chris46 from Vraiment mal fait La qualité d'assemblage très médiocre, beaucoup trop de lousse et la plaque de blocage ne tient pas en place..... j'ai du utiliser un autre plaque plus épaisse pour que cela fonctionne...... Je vais le remplacer par un autre modèle. Cet article devrait être enlevé des tablettes et remplacer par un produit qui fonctionne.
