Description

Ideal for commercial and residential applications, this professional-grade Flexcolor(TM) CQ grout is a great choice for porcelain, ceramic and natural-stone tile installation. Suitable for indoor and outdoor projects, the non-porous grout prevents water-based stains and is resistant to chemicals, mold and mildew. Its quartz aggregate formulation ensures colour consistency and makes it easy to work with and clean. The ready-to-use grout cures naturally in 24 hours without the need for a sealant, forming a hard, uniform-coloured surface that is resistant to cracking and shrinkage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top of the line grout I am a professional tile installer. Been doing it over 15 years. Mapei's premixed is the best you can get. I don't understand why the reviews are all bad??? This stuff is gold compared to the regular unmixed grout. The cleaning does take a little bit more strength, but it leaves absolutely NO HAZE after you're done. Plus Mapei has the tendency of grout Color changing on you but with the premixes it's always a good batch and won't change on you. When it cures I feel like its way more stronger than your standard grout. If it weren't for the price, I would use the premixed grout on every single job!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to use I bought this to grout a small bathroom backsplash as I thought it would be quick and easy. I would not recommend this for a wall application as the product is very dry and does not stick very well, falls off the wall and makes a massive mess. The included sponge is a joke. It is more difficult to remove than other grouts; however, it leaves absolutely no haze which is nice. Again, I would not recommend this for a wall application as the sand or quartz makes another huge mess when cleaning the dried grout off the wall. For a floor application, with two people working, one applying, one removing, I can see this product working well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible grout to apply The only mandatory two person grouting job I've ever done. The grout was actually hardening as I applied it. It took a second persons 30 seconds after it was applied to SCRUB the tiles clean. It wasn't just a fluke either. I only had 22 sqft to do and was only ably to get 12 sqft covered from a bucket I should have gotten close to 30 due to all the waste. After another trip to Lowes, the second bucket did the same thing. For trying to save time and get premix for the backsplash I regret ever even looking at this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product IF you follow the directions This is an amazing grout, and probably the best, strongest and longest lasting grout outside of an Epoxy grout. I'm a professional tile installer of almost 20 years exp., and if you follow the instructions, you WON'T have any problems. DON'T try to grout a big area at once. Just like epoxy grouts, do a few sq. ft. at a time, and clean it well, you won't have any problems. Just finished a 70 sq.ft. backsplash of marble mosaic with this grout, and the clients are very very happy with it, as am I, being the installer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Colour is very different from container The colour is nothing like the example on the container. I was going to try to patch some grout with it but it looks like I'm going to have to do the rest of the kitchen now. Also make sure you wipe it within ten minutes or it won't come off. Then wipe it again, and again. It's very thick stuff and hardens very quick. Don't recommend for glass or natural stone. I gave it two stars because I don't know how well it holds up yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Follow directions and fantastic results Have used this in two homes. Yes, requires more work than standard grout to apply, but given you have to apply sealer to stnd grout, then i would say this requires less time. Key: work in a few sq ft at a time. Dampen tile just before applying and it will go in smooth as silk. Two sponges...one to wipe intial, thrn clean one to take any excess. This stuff is tough as stones once cure. Unlike normal grout that clearly absorbs moisture and darkens when wet, this stuff does not absorb anything. Sealer built in. See pic where left side has been wet and right side of pic is dry tile...notice no difference in grout colour because it is sealed so doesnt absorb water and therefore darken. I have try to use top sealer before and never lasts...after 6 months, i noted reg grout with dealer would absorb moisture. Then u have to chemically clean grout and reapply sealer. Total pain. Will never use anything else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not for diy I bought this grout in the recommendation of the sales clerk. what a mistake! i usually use the grout you need to mix yourself, but decided this time, i want something easy. well i was in for a surprise, the grout hardened within minutes. i had to scrape off the excess it was so hard. do not use this grout, it is kore expensive and more work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very different to work with I believe this grout is a superior product in terms of quality. It's an acrylic product that cures by water evaporating from it, versus a cement grout that cures from water being added to the cement. It's almost like a gritty paint product, it smells like a paint product, and if you go on their website, it says that you can re grout over top of this, because it will stick to itself ( something that cement grout can't do) overall I'm happy with it, but be forewarned, it's very different to work with. I used a margin float instead of a great big float, because I was able to get less on the wall and more in the joints. Also, go buy yourself a cheap pack of thin ceramic cooktop scrunges. You have to work quick, get it into the joints fast and wipe it 90 degrees with the float to get excess off the wall. Then after 5-10 minutes, you can use the ceramic scrunge to get any remaining residue off the tile face, and use a sponge to wipe the grout joint gently... If you treat this stuff as a sticky granulated paint, and not a cement product, you'll do fine...
