Description

The 100-hour cool-and-warm mist humidifier with aromatherapy tray and UV-C guards against problems cause by dry air in the home. Makes life pleasant for those with cold, flu, allergies and dry skin. Rated 1 out of 5 by Samdrala from 1 star because zero stars is not an option. We were so happy with this humidifier- for the first month or so. It looks great in the room, it is cool mist = safe for pets & kids, and it helped increase the humidity in a medium to large room. Great. But then we saw the pink mold/bacteria growing on the transducer. We were breathing that mold / bacteria as it was dispersed into the air by the humidifier! The base, where the water is stored, is sealed / not accessible & so cannot be properly cleaned. We filled the base with white vinegar. We let it sit a month to dry out. We used distilled water & used a silver antimicrobial cleaning stick in the tank. We cleaned the unit (as best we could, without access to the base) every 2 days. The pink mold / bacteria returned within 2 days of restarting the unit. This was a $150 dollar disappointment. Basically worked (safely) for a month for almost $200 (after tax). Do not waste your money or risk the health if your family. Make sure you can access all areas of the humidifier yo vleanit & be aware that cool mist ultrasonic humidifiers tend toward mold & bacteria growth.
