Satisfied Customer
Owned our first pair for 15 years. Still working when we replaced them with the current pair. Unlimited hot water is the best feature. Not spending money to heat water when not in use is a big plus. Total trouble free during the entire 15 years. Pushing hot water to the far end of the house was the only down side.
The new Rinnais have built in circulating systems so the one disadvantage should be mitigated.

Top of the line!
I've had my Rinnai tables hot water heater now for 2 months, and I most enjoy the endless warm water during my showers!
My only dislike is that about every two-three weeks it quits heating the water, and the only way to remedy it is to turn it off, unplug the power source, clean out the sediment screen, then turn it back on. It is mounted in my crawlspace, so resetting it is quite an irritating task.

Awesome product
The Rinnai never seems to run out of hot water. You can run several appliances at once or have several people shower and it keeps up with the demand. It is quite and takes up less space than the average tank water heater. The only down side I can see is it takes longer to get hot water to some of the areas of the house than the old tank water heater. Other than that, I love it!

Best decision I made for a water heater!
I had an old style tank and decided to upgrade to a tankless, WOW, endless hot water and I think the cost to operate is cheaper. I've had the Rinnai for 4 months now and love it. The cost was double what a regular water heater was to install, but I think it will last longer and I never run out of hot water now. Worth the price in my book. Thanks Rinnai.

Heating 82
Overall quality of design and materials seems flawless. Replacing my 19 yr old 82 gal hot water tank was an easy decision. Space was a major positive and cost to operate (propane) is a factor . I use a deep 60 * (something) degree well and have no problems (1 month) with continuous hot water for myself and numerous friends and family showering after a day at the nearby ocean beaches. Installation was comprehensive but without problems due to some excellent design engineering and left me very confident for the future of this unit. The install used existing venting and power (110 VAC) in a unheated garage closet dedicated to water (well pump/110 gal bladder tank/ and a water conditioner sys. ..Unit is very quiet and my noisy venting from the previous setup is gone. Maintenance is said to be an annual event . This system seems to be the future with a price point now a factor but that should change downward with innovation and competition.

Thankless Water heater
We have a new house and removed a gas water heater because ti took too long to get water hot. We had an electric water heater in our prior house and it heated water instantly. Our Rinnai was expensive but they said it would heat our water instantly. It didn't. It's the same as our gas heater,,, one minute or longer. Very disappointed!

Planeview Tankless Water heater
Love it, takes up so much less space in my garage than the old 80 gallon tank model. Also, am looking forward to seeing how my power bill will be affected vs my propane bill. Although the propane bill should increase, it is only being affected when I'm using hot water, vs the electric always trying to keep 80 gallons hot.

Rinnai Propane water heater.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed the system into my new home. It was simple, and works extremely well. It is more efficient than the old style we used to have and we never run out of hot water. I will never go back. This particular system handles all three bathrooms simultaneously!

Enjoying our new Rinnai
Like the fact that the water temp in the shower is very consistently warm.. Easy to find a satisfying temp . The only issue is the kitchen faucet water doesn't seem to get as warm or hot as needed. I will contact plumber to see if its something he can adjust or its something unrelated to the Rinnai ..

It has performed exactly as expected, very reliabl
We've had this system for about 5 months....
Buyers need to understand that hot water is not instantaneous, it takes about 20 seconds to draw the hot water from the system. It really depends on the size of the house and how far the water needs to travel from the tankless heater that determines how long it takes hot water to arrive at the faucet. The temperature of the water going into the heater also has an affect on how long it takes to heat up the water, I live in the Northeast so it takes a little bit longer.
However, when the hot water heater kicks in it is virtually endless till your propane gas tank empties if that's your set up. These systems do require annual maintenance, but nothing terribly difficult. You should also get a competent master plumber to install it, improper set ups can easily ruin a system.
I live in a town were we lose power a few times during the winter for 3 days or more at a time, this system has a very low battery draw and allows the use of a back up b

Rinnai continues to be a leader in providing innov
I recently replaced my 11 year old Rinnai tankless hot water heater with a new model. The new model is very efficient, quiet and was easy to install. It has been installed for a month now and has lived up to expectations. I anticipate many trouble free years with proper periodic maintenance.

Rinnai Experience - I did not have any direct cont
I've had the Rinnai for roughly three weeks and seems to be working great. I like the ease of adjusting the temperature and having endless hot water. I do not like having to wait awhile for the hot water. I did not purchase a circulating pump nor buy a unit that has that built in.

Unlimited hot water
Works as advertised with unlimited hot water. It takes longer to heat up than I expected but still under 30 seconds. It is great not having a hot water tank that stays hot 24/7 whether needed or not. I also like that I will never get a tank leak or need to replace a tank.

Very happy with on demand hot water heater.
Seemed to be most popular model. Considered a Rheem from HomeDepot, but Rinnai is more popular device per plumbers and distributors. Rinnai had a rebate of $100 which helped make decision and so far it has been working great. Nice to know there is no tank heating any more.

Unusable controller
The water heater works fine. The recirculation controller is not user friendly or easily maintainable by tech savvy customers. Unacceptable in this age of intuitive apps on your phone. Now I understand why the installer locked it away inside the water heater housing.

Tankless water heater
I love the fact that I will not run out of hot water....EVER! It has worked very well for my family for the past 3 weeks we have had it. My only complaint is that it takes a super long time (2+ minutes) to get hot water. But once its hot, it stays that way.

Water Heater Upgrade to Tankless
New upgrade from (20 year-old) tank heater to "tankless" - less than a month old. Seems to be high quality product with leading edge features and technology. Intellectual appealing (no operating cost when not in use; never run out of hot water).

Only in use about a month... had issues with propane pressure to begin with, but since has been flawless. Nice not to worry about running out of hot water with 15 guests! Efficient, especially for locations like ours that are used sporadically.

Tankless HW Experience
Purchased in July 2018; So far so good. Likes: space saver design, Dislikes: a little noisy, installed in attic , but can be heard during cool down each time hot faucet is used; very hi-tech; potential for failures. No problems yet, though.

Pretty good
Had the unit for several months. The efficiency is well on its way to paying for itself. Once in a while the unit will stop producing hot water for a minute which can be frustrating mid shower but it has been a rare occurrence.

My experience
I like the internet capabilities. Recirculation models are the way to go. I don't seem to stay logged in on the Rinnai app. I've had my Rinnai unit for three months but had owned another brand previously for eighteen years.

second rinnai
Space saver and if you pay for water money saver. About the only thing I don't like is the amount of time to actually get hot water out of the faucet. This is actually the second Rinnai I've owned in 14 years. yes it does.

Performs as expected
I converted from a tankless oil system to Rinnai as a part of a overall conversion over to whole house split Heat Pump install. The unit takes up very little space and delivers Hot water as quickly as my other system.

Does not supply hot water to two sources simultane
It was very expensive, considering it was only to supply hot water for 2 people. The installer said it would do this easily. I am going to try to get him back to fix this. It's worse than the Rheem we just replaced.

Good on demand water heater
Pros:
Steady temperature
Quiet operation
Supplies 4 showers simultaneously
Con:
Existing circulation pump does not flow enough to activate the water heater. Get the WH with the built in pump if you want this feature.

Great to have unlimited supply of hot water. Also noticed my gas bill went way down. Nice to have more space where the old water heater was. Downside is I have to wait a little longer for hot water at the tap.

Beyond expectations; outstanding technology, unlimited hot water on demand. We've had a tankless water heater for several years and just replaced it with a Rinnai system.
