Description

Create a watertight and maintenance-free shower without a mortar bed with this Kerdi shower kit by Schluter Systems. Easy to install, this kit helps prevent mold and mildew and protects moisture-sensitive materials, such as wood. It contains all the components required for assembly: 1 shower tray of 38" x 60" (off-center drain), 2 shower curbs of 38" x 6" x 4,5", 1 roll of waterproofing membrane 3'3" x 33' (108 sq. ft.), 1 roll of waterproofing strip 5" x 33', 1 ABS flange of 2", 4 inside and 2 outside preformed waterproofing corners, 1 pipe seal 3/4", and 1 mixing valve seal 4,5". Drain grate is not included. This product is covered by a limited 10-year warranty.

Can the Schluter curb be cut down to produce a lower rise

Yes, You can cut the curb piece to any dimension you want which suit the detail of finishing tiles to be applied on it.  For me , I cut the inner side 1/4” lower to give a slope on top of curb. Any water on top of curb will only drain to inside of shower. Peter

Does the 38 x 60 schluter shower base kit come with the kerdi collar that goes over the kerdi drain flange ? Also how many Kerdi-Kereck corners are included ?

Kerdi collar that goes over the kerdi drain flange is included in the package. There are four Kerdi-Kereck inside corners in the package.

My 2" ABS drain is 12.75" from the back wall. Do you have any suggestions on how to adapt this to your 10" position?

Hi Robert, Install the shower pan to line up with your drain, for the 2.75” fill in with sand pack maintaining a 2 degree slope towards the drain and cover with Kerdi membrane. Don’t hesitate to call us should you have any questions in the future.

I need to make a shower base 48x72 with offset drain is there a kit for that size or how can I make it up ?

Hi, in order to achieve a 48x72 offset shower base you would need to: - install the 38x60 kit and fill missing areas with a mortar bed while maintaining a 2% slope - or create the 48x72 offset shower base entirely out of mortar bed. Please remember to water proof all areas including the mortar bed while achieving 2” overlapping everywhere.

My shower area is 32”. Can the base be trimmed?

Yes it can! Make sure you account for the curb width. Use a nice sharp utility knife for a clean cut. You will need to cut equal amounts off each side to keep the drain opening centered. Schluter instructions in the box are very good.

Unfortunately no ... however Schluter does sell different shower base models for linear drains. Just give Schluter a call or talk to an associate to order the right one for your project.

It's 60" to match the width of the shower. Please note that some of the Lowes's Schluetter kits come without the drain grate!
