Description

Ram Board Seam Tape is designed to hold ram board seams together. This 100% recyclable adhesive tape is made with Kraft backing that tears off easily and lays out fast for convenient on-the-job use. Do not tape it directly to finished floors and surfaces. As it is not vapour permeable, it should not be used in areas where curing floors need to breathe.

How to remove tape residue from a  Vinyl plank flooring was used to tape ram board to flooring although instructions said not to.

The product states "***Do not tape directly to floor***". I would suggest possibly using a plastic blade scraper, as any solvents will damage the finish of your flooring.

Is this tape paintable?   Will paint actually stick to it ? Or does it have a gloss finish that paint will not adhere to?

Rated 5 out of 5 by LoyalCustomer from Ram Board 3-in x 164-ft Tan Packing Tape [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lowes website directed me to a specific isle and bay, but the tape was nowhere to be found. It took 30 minutes for the Lowes' staff to locate the tape inside the store. The overall product is great for securing boxes to ship.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sarayale from expensive but good [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is to tape one piece of ramboard to another. It should not be used to tape ram board to a floor or wall as it will leave a sticky residue. Also, you can accomplish that with less expensive products. Note there are two thicknesses when buying the ramboard. The thinner comes in smaller rolls. the thicker has to be ordered online usually and comes in 100 foot rolls.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bruce from Good for floors [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Designed for use with ram board and works as advertised. Regular painters tape won’t handle the foot traffic across like this tape does. In addition, I had no issues putting this tape on a high gloss wood floor. I took a star as the material rips easy when pulling from the roll. Need to use extra care when using.

I ripped out all the drywall on two walls, rewired and added outlets then replaced drywall with 3/4 inch plywood. They tape sticks and covers really well. Not an exact match but so what. It’s a wood shop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Haus from Great but lacks versatility. This product is great but it needs to be all surface. It can only be applied to protective covering itself. There is nothing that sticks to this product when it comes to taping down to floors or cabinets. You have to run blue tape first then use this tape in edges... So your doubling the taping process.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Raym from Worthless This tape goes on clean and looks good. Then it starts to peel. In hours the edges have released and you now have a tripping hazard. We installed a lot of it, and then were forced to remove it ALL, as it had created a dangerous condition. USE BLUE TAPE! It works fine and is more reliable.
