Shut off valve is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from costly mistake we installed a Watts 1/4-in CPVC Push Fit In-Line Straight Valve on the water line for our refrigerator several months ago. It started leaking 2 days ago. We didn't notice it until several square yards of the hallway carpet on the other side of the wall was soaked. I am very displeased. It has taken several hours to remove water from the carpet, fans running for days, and I we probably need to replace the insulation under the floor. This could have been even a larger disaster if we had not caught it as soon as we did. It went from drips to spraying water in the few minutes it took to turn off the water to the line.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The new design is leaky I have had the older design (pictured above with the external turn stop) for nearly 10 years, no leaks. I have recently purchased 4 of these (newer design) and 3 of them have leaked...a real pain to keep driving back to return them. I checked the rating (upto 150 psi at 70 degrees F, 60 psi at 140 degrees F), my water is 50 psi at 75 degrees F.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You have a better chance of winning the lottery This product is amazingly easy to use. It would be perfect if it did not leak through the top blue section. I have purchased multiple replacements and am going to a copper 1/4 straight needle valve. This product should be removed from the shelves due to the defect in the manufacturing process. At almost $9 each this product should work!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic 1/4in CPVC Push Fit in-line Valve Valve leaked as soon as water pressure was turned on. Didn't leak at either connection, but it did leak from the blue control lever. Returned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job, but prone to drips from valve The valve does the job, but it is prone to slow drip leaks from the valve area, which may stop over time. I have two of these installed, and both of them drip for a while after the valves are closed and opened.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from To put it simply, the valve leaks. A plumber use two of these valves when connecting a new water line from the kitchen sink to the refrigerator a couple months ago. Recently, on the day a new refrigerator was being installed, I turned off the water at the valve behind the fridge when disconnecting the line. After connecting the line to the new refrigerator and turning on the water, a small amount of water came dripping from the blue handle area. The line connections were fine, just the valve handle linked a little. I went to Lowes to get another valve. Had to buy the same kind; that's all they had. There is another one of these under the sink that I had to turn off so I could replace the leaking one at the refrigerator location. When I went back under the sink to turn the water on, I found that the valve there had been leaking water. I turned on the valve, the leaking stopped, and I dried up the mess. It didn't leak when the water was on, but it did when the water was off because it leaked at the valve handle. I will need to find time to replace this valve, hopefully with another band.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to use. Hard to beat this device for ease of use. Just push inlet and outlet ends into devise and you're done! But because they're all plastic they do tend to leak if not fully open or closed. I use this above and belowh floor for ice maker supply (below in case I have to change the one above, which is why I bought this one) and one above the floor for easy changing of refrigerators or ice maker repairs. Have only had to replace 1 since I installed the first one about 4 years ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There is only one word. "Easy". As an engineer, I was dreading this project. I work in Residential Lot Development and Stormwater. One look at this "cheap plastic" and I was already working out the plan in my head for replacing it in a week. Boy! Was my pessimistic attitude wrong! The whole assembly I had purchased was installed in minutes. These push-fittings are the greatest thing since sliced bread! No more compression fittings! Whoo-hoo!
