Does this material have sand or grit in it

Asked by: Max 13
Thank you for your inquiry. Sika Level 125 contains quartz silica sand.

should I apply a sealant or adhesive of some sort on the existing concrete prior to applying the Sika Level?

Asked by: CJTX
Thank you for your inquiry. All concrete and cement substrates must be primed using Sika® Level-01 PrimerCA, or where concrete/cement and wood substrates exist, Sika® Level-03 PrimerCA may be used. The substrates must be dry, clean and stable before priming and applying the underlayment. Remove all existing treatments such as coatings, sealers, wax, latex compounds, impregnations and curing agents, together with all contaminants i.e. dirt, dust, laitance, grease, oils, and foreign matter, which will interfere with the penetration of Sika® Level-01 PrimerCA or Sika® Level-03 PrimerCA

Can you order cement colouring to pre made cement products

Asked by: blah1

J'ai utilisé ce produit et suivi les instructions pour la quantité d'eau soit 4l mais le résultat n'est pas uniforme. Dois-je appliquer une couche d'apprêt avant de couler une autre couche de béton autonivelant avec 5l eau par sac ?

Sika 22.7-kg Interior Floor Self-Levelling Cement is rated 2.4 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Final result is always not flat It's very picky to water amount. If you add a bit more then recommended, sometimes it can dry few days. The surface after the leveling is always not flat and you need manually with grinder remove bumps and fill valleys. I used different techniques to apply this leveler, always get the same bumpy results. Besides of that, despite how good you seal the surface before applying this leveler, or how slow or fast you mix leveler with water, the surface will always will have an air bubbles. Maybe it's ok for application in small areas, but for large areas I don't recommend this product, as it not Apply and Forget product. Try other manufactures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit thick but good Further to Charv's review, I dfound that this Sika is thicker at the recommended water blend than the competitors (HD) product. The package warns not to over-thin, so I didn't (maybe I should have). At the recommended thickness, it does require some spreading as it's not completely Self-leveling. I ended up buying another bag of the competitors to even out some hills and valleys. I was working on a bathroom floor where I had to use a long pole/squeegy to level it, hard to get it right and would have preferred it to level more on its own. All of these require brands some spreading, but this one needs a bit more expertise with a concrete float than your typical DIY'er has.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does an ok job This works reasonably well. It doesn't really self-level - you need to have something to trowel it and generally get it close, but if you just pour it and leave it, it won't spread out completely and stay somewhat slumped in the center. I think this is because it has a high sand content which weighs it down and then doesn't flow very well. I managed to get it to do what I needed (although it gave me high spots in areas that were once lows - need to pour more around it now. This product requires some finesse and expertise. Not for everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great material i dont know what everyone complains about.. i self level floors every single day and this material is amazing.. flows great and levels out really good when mixed thoroughly. i recommend using a pinch more water then the bag suggests.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Working time 12-15 minutes This product does NOT self-level. You WILL have to intervene with at least a straight edge; forget what you see in the online videos. The product does not have enough "Polymer" in the cement to make it flow well; basically, they're selling you mostly cement. Unless you have dips in your subfloor >1/4 inch, I wouldn't bother using this product. You have <15 minutes to use it before it gets too dense to work with; this means that it's good only if you've got a huge sunken area and all you have to do is fill it by pouring the cement. Even then, sometimes it'll just sit there and not flow. I do not recommend using this product as it's doesn't do what it claims to do and is NOT user-friendly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage Not sure if they filled the bag with sand instead of the mixture, but all it was was sand and didn't mix with the water no matter how long we mixed it. Used precise water to mixture. Would not recommend at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from STAY AWAY- DOES NOT FLOW Complete junk! I used 4.1 l - max quantity of water specified in instruction. I dumped the bucket on the floor and it stayed exactly where it was dumped. I used a squidgy to spread it it but it had very poor flow-ability and cures faster that it can be spread.
