Description

Enjoy fast and simple installation of structural members with a Simpson concealed joist hanger. It measures 1 9/16 in W x 4 3/4 in H. An 18-gauge ZMAX galvanized steel composition provides corrosion resistance. With its concealed header flanges, exposed sections have clean lines. The linear structure of this 2 in x 6 in concealed joist hanger makes it practical for side frame, beam, or post support.

LUC-series hangers are tested, load rated and code compliant
The LUC series installs using several fastener selections with tested allowable loads
Suitable for nominal 2x6 and 2x8 lumber
Made from 18-gauge steel
ZMAX galvanization offers extra corrosion resistance for exterior and treated-wood applications
Install with 16d common nails in the header and 10d x 1-1/2-in nails or #10 x 1-1/2-in Strong-Drive SD screws in the joist

The hangers worked perfectly for the application I bought them for. They added the strength I needed to keep the wheels in place, especially when I move the bench along my uneven garage floor. These are not like the flimsy hangers I have purchased in the past. They are made from durable metal and can easily handle the load placed on them and can be used for more than one application. I plan to purchase these same hangers in the future but more for the purpose they were intended for. I'm planning on building a shed in the near future. This is an excellent product.

The board was previously secured by nails which over time failed to hold. This product solved the problem. The board is in place firmly and securely. I am satisfied with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joel H from Sturdy and hidden for edge of deck. I needed this for the edge of a deck and looks much better than the ones with outer nail holes, especially along the edge of the deck. It still feels very sturdy though and I would recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by GarageMan from Makes sure you have nails I was using deck screws instead of nails, the screw heads pushed the board away from the bracket. I did not have nails, so I had to hammer the board into the screw heads to get a tighter fit.
