Initially installed in my basement and it registered a consistent temperature of 63 degrees when thermometers right next to it were registering 68 and the previous thermostat had been in line with that. Moved it upstairs and it still registered five degrees lower than ambient temperature but I just left it installed until several days later, the numbers started ticking upward all the way to 600 (!!!) before counting back down and starting over again. Over 400 and counting now before I tear this crap off the wall and return it.

Pour le prix, ces thermostats peuvent sembler faire l'affaire, et bien qu'ils soient relativement beaux en comparaison avec plusieurs modèles à un prix similaire, ils comportent un problème majeur : la température n'est pas vraiment précise. Dans plusieurs pièces, je possède quelques appareils afin de mesure la température (caméras de sécurité, thermopompe et bon vieux thermomètre): les thermostats Stelpro indiquent 2 à 3 degrés d'écart par rapport aux autres instruments. Lorsque la caméra affiche 21 degré, que le thermomètre en affiche 21.5 et que la thermopompe fonctionne pour maintenir le tout à 21 degrés, le thermostat Stelpro affiche.... 19 degrés. En hiver, les invités trouvent étrange que ce soit très confortable malgré le fait que mes thermostats indiquent 19 degrés. Peu importe leur emplacement, les 10 thermostats Stelpro que je possède ont ce problème d'afficher une température un peu trop basse par rapport à la réalité. Ça n'a jamais été aussi flagrant avec des thermostats d'autre marque. C'est relativement décevant quand on a pour 400$ de thermostats qui affichent une température inexacte.

Ils indiquent qu'il fait 21.5 degrés, je les monte à 22.5, ils chauffent et indiquent tout d'un coup 18.5deg et chauffe jusqu'à ''resetter''. Nouveau modèle mis sur le marché trop tôt sans vraiment avoir fait les tests... décevant de cette compagnie québécoise... :-) J'ai maintenant un Honewwell et il fonctionne très bien.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Guy F from Surchauffe et mauvaise lecture Le constructeur de notre condo a utilisé des thermostat Stelpro pour le chauffage de notre unité. Après moins de 1 an, l' un des 4 a des problèmes de lecture menant à un fonctionnement en continu. La lecture affiche entre -45 et -55 degrés. Il va falloir faire veir un électricien pour rempalcer cet appareil.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Coyote_assoupi from juste correct, jusqu'à ce qu'il ne marche plus Ce produit a bien fonctionné pendant environ un an. Passé ce délai, il a commencé à maintenir une température d'environ 18C dans la petite chambre où il était installé alors qu'il affichait un bon 21C. Quelques semaines plus tard, il a commencé à m'afficher des 80C puis des 300C et plus le rendant complètement inopérant, et ce même après avoir vérifié les connections. J'ai dû le remplacer. J'en ai un autre qui pour le moment fonctionne correctement. Sur une autre note, les boutons ne sont vraiment pas réactifs à la pression et nécessitent plusieurs pressions pour être activés. En conséquence, le mode éco tient plus du gadget qu'autre chose car il est presque plus rapide de changer la température cible manuellement.

Me voilà avec un thermostat qui n’allume plus rien a faire, J’emballe sa et le retour au magasin ! Sans compter un convecteur avec thermostat intégré qu’on voient pas les numeros car la chaleur le chauffe trop ! Thermostat mal place sur le convecteur!
