Description

Designed and made in Germany, this quiet fan heater is perfect for both retrofit and new construction, the European downdraft design heats a space evenly. CK heaters easily replace older flush-mount heaters and are ideal for bathrooms, basements, offices, playrooms, 3-season porches, cabins, campers or RVs, and mobile homes. The built-in fan is extremely quiet in operation at only 49.7 dB. In rooms larger than 215 sq. ft., the CK can be operated through a conventional wall-mounted room thermostat. The CK is designed with a frost-protection setting. The lowest thermostat setting will maintain above-freezing temperatures in an appropriately sized space. The CK heater is designed to have its components recycled at the end of its useful life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ehk from Best little heaters we could find! We have six of these heaters in our home, and we love them. We researched and researched before putting these into our new home and had high hopes. They turned out to be what we had hoped. They are efficient for electric heaters, take up very little room on the wall, blend in to the decor, are sleek and modern (we get questions and compliments all the time) -- and most importantly, they do a good job. Though we now use these to supplement wood heat, we heated our entire 4 bedroom 1800 sf house with only these all last winter, and they kept us all warm (family of 5). Recently, we had an issue with one failing. We contacted the Stiebel Eltron via email and got a quick response. They were kind, patient, and helpful. We are still under the 3-year warranty. Ultimately, they are replacing the heater for free (plus, free shipping for the returned item, too), and the process was very smooth and easy. We were actually a little slow on our end with responding because life got busy, and they checked in and were very patient. I highly recommend this product and this company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Holzlegacy from Simple and effective Bought this heater to replace a 20 year old version of the same thing. It's been reliable, but the old one was just getting tired. The new one installed easily and I saw a significant increase in the heat output. Very happy. Note: this heater is used to pre-heat a bathroom shower area so we don't have to raise the temperature of the whole house when we shower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MikeJ from Nice heater but could be better. The product arrived well-packaged and damage free. Installation was fairly easy. As many have mentioned, the factory location for the wire entry is at the dumbest location possible - right at the top center of the unit. If you use it, there's no easy way to conceal the wire, the wire clamp, or the hole in the wall where the wire comes through. I punched a 7/8" hole at a less visible location (lower right side), and put a plug in the provided knock-out. Yes, I know it voids the warranty. I really don't know why the company can't provide multiple knock-outs and let the installer choose. There's lots of room inside the unit for routing wires - even the 12ga wires that I used. I installed it in a 60 Sq Ft downstairs bath on a 20 amp circuit. I'm satisfied with the noise level and the heat output. The unit looks really good from a distance. But, looking down on the unit, there's still a lot of galvanized metal showing. It just looks unfinished, even without the wire entry at the top. How difficult could it be to provide a trim piece that would conceal that?
