Would the coffee trim (and roof, I assume) be paintable prior to building?  If so, what would you suggest?

Asked by: Lee204
It would be labour intensive due to the thickness of the metal. Great care is required when handling the unassembled panels. A good primer and an oil paint if possible would provide best adhesion to the panels and trim.

How sturdy is the roof? I saw someone had mentioned it caved after a heavy snowfall.

Asked by: Rams21
I haven’t had any issues at all with it . It has beams on the inside of the roof which I assume help with that. Lots of snow this winter and not a problem!

Also can thus shed be made bigger by adding on nephew wants to build a mancave

Asked by: Mama k
no i dont think you can add onto this shed if you need larger area you might as well go to a bigger shed also the head room is kind of low you have to duck your head down going into the door opening it is not a bad shed for storing small items i bought this to store my motorcycle in it over the winter but found once bike was inside not a lot of room left for anything else it is a pretty big bike but i should have gone to at least a 10 x 10 or 10 x 12 hope this helps

Storage Shed with High Gable - 10-ft x 8-ft - Galvanized Steel - Eggshell/Coffee is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 454.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shed First of all I guess all the bad reviews about things not lining up and the doors being out of square had to be with people that were trying to put this shed on the ground. I built the floor out of 2 x 4‘s and tongue and groove OSB three-quarter inch plywood and put it on paving blocks in the corners. Then I squared it up and started putting the shed up and it turned out great the holes lined up for all the screws, the doors went on like they were made for it which they were and they’re exactly square. So for all you naysayers that are saying this is a bad metal shed, try following directions. It’s a wonder how that works.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent shed You get what you pay for. This shed is decent quality and you can't beat the price for the storage space you get. But it took my wife and I 14 hours to assemble. Granted we had to disassemble a couple panels due to unclear pictures/instructions, but it was easy enough to do with 2 people. Definitely should use a electric driver instead of a screwdriver like they recommend, we switched halfway through and it cut down on time dramatically. There are a ton of parts so bring your patience, and definitely make sure you have a solid 8 hours on a non windy day to get this assembled. The metal dents pretty easily so I wouldnt place it under trees or anywhere heavy debris can fall on it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from assemble and leak problem Bought this with promotion discount, acceptable price, highly not recommend for someone who never did handy job before. Those parts seems a bit of difficult to align and assemble together, especially screw holes, it need a bit of brutal force and good handyman experience, and might need to replace some of the shorter screw with a bit longer screw of your own. The other difficult part is to prevent water leak when raining, you will need to apply silicon to every screw after assemble to stop water leak. Still consider as reasonable price vs quality with discounted price , absolutely no no for regular price. It took 2 person 12 hrs to assemble.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible this thing was such a pain to put together. Directions were pictures with minimal description. Im a contruction worker and consider myself very handy, yet this thing had me and my wife messing with it for almost 7 hours. We had to undo and redo several things because there wasnt enough detail explaining the steps. Once the screws are in, you cant remove. If you do, the hole will not support the screw once its replaced. The nuts and bolts, very small, about a half inch. The nuts, the size of pencil erasers. This make it very difficult to hold and get in place. My advice is find a shed with clearer instructions, more concise instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from buying a second one Had one on the patio of my old house, need s storage unit for my new house. going with the same one I bought then. Took my son and I a few hours at a very slow pace with lots of breaks (I am a disabled Veteran) but we got it assembled, squared and secured. it has TONS of storage space great for all my tools (wife complaining about where to put them in the new house... lol) so off to build the new one. I think this time will be an all day project, I am worse than I was then but then I have my son and daughter to help me build it so we shall see, maybe a good day for a BBQ / shed building day! Either way, its a good shed, sturdy, and survived 2 Florida Hurricanes. what more could you ask for ?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Economy Shed Not a bad shed for the price. Long assembly process that could have been made a lot easier with a few design changes. Like single piece frame rails. Best advice to anyone buying this shed. Throw the cheap sheet metal screws supplied with it away and get some real ones! The supplied screws have very little thread depth on them and tend to strip in the thin metal parts easily. You will be hours and much frustration ahead by picking up some better made sheet metal screws. The machine screws and nuts work fine. Over 500 screws in this kit to complete the assembly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfied Customer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me 15 hours to assemble. I worked by myself, no help. I do have some construction experience. Anyone buying this shed should read the instructions carefully before starting. Do all the prep work that is called in the instructions and do not skip a step or you will be doubling your work. It would be helpful to have 2 people working on the construction, especially when putting on the corners walls. I used a step ladder to hold up the corners and had to drill a few holes for the roofing metal. Check that the base and after the walls are attached, the shed is square. Very pleased with the final construction. You will enjoy building this shed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took me about six hours to put together the actual shed itself, but I did it by myself. I got lucky and most every hole lined up. All the parts were there and the instructions were pretty good. Had one typo, but no big deal for someone handy. I only managed to crumple one panel a little, which I thought was lucky. It really is flimsy, but once all together it's not bad. I suggest using every available hole inside and out to fasten to floor. I used a wood foundation, so it was easy. Like the instructions say, DON'T start putting the panels up if there is any wind at all.
