Rated 4 out of 5 by PAR from Stud finder [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried stud finders in the past and found them to be unreliable. This one does work. You pay a little more and you do get results. Just move it slowly along the wall and it will find the drywall nails or screws that are in the wall. As an added bonus it can detect power lines inside the wall as well. This can be checked out by trying it where a wall plug or light switch is on the wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by awr74 from Great for safety [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used various stud finders over the years with various degrees of successes, I grabbed this one when i saw it also included a voltage detector so you know when your too close to live power lines. To me that is just to good to pass up. As for its accuracy..it finds the studs from side to side and the center so big thumbs up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by aaron from Works, but annoying I was trying to use this to confirm where I already thought the studs were, and it did do this successfully. It had a lot of false positives, but enough true positives that lined up for me to trust it, they did match up with where I thought the stud was, and drilling the wall confirmed that it was right. However it was extremely frustrating to use because it almost always says there is an AC wire, even when I hold it on walls that I know have no wire, random non-wall objects or even just in the air. When it thinks there is an AC wire, it beeps REALLY LOUD, so it makes near-constant loud noise while it is working.

I do a lot of remodeling and building and this stud detector comes in handy. No more guesswork anymore. You simply place against the wall and press the button. I love the fact that it finds the center too. Once it finds the center, you will hear a distinctive beep. Not only that, but it also detects live A/C wires. It’s not big or bulky and very lightweight. I put it in my front shirt pocket and it fits perfectly. What’s even better is it comes with the batteries too. It didn’t disappoint and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

We love this stud finder mainly because of the a/c detection. Our other one is good but doesnt have that feature. Its easy to use and was very easy to learn all the features. I love how it finds the center of the stud instead of the edge like most others. It saves me time on the job and is really a great tool. Its red and black and very lightweight. It takes 2 AAA batteries which is really easy to replace.This is a must for us and I would highly recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bo from Where are the instructions??? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All the LEDs light and the tone alarm sounds. How do I differentiate the stud locations? Very confusing. It looks simple but doesn't appear to be very useful. I'm now searching for a PDF on the internet to figure out how to decipher the audible and visual indications. Does the beeper indicate the center of a stud? Does the hidden AC power beep override the stud location? How do I turn OFF the AC wiring detection? I dunno. A WRITTEN instruction sheet would be most helpful.
