What size is the umbrella hole on the table? What size umbrella poles will it accommodate? Thanks.

The umbrella hole diameter is about 1 5/8 inches, so it should accommodate a 1 1/2 inch wide pole.  I don't have an umbrella yet.

Is the wicker very dark brown? I saw a table elsewhere that was similar but it was medium brown, no good for me as my other furniture is the rich dark brown.

Yes it should fit in a sedan trunk. But if you have a narrow compact trunk it could be an issue.

I'm not sure - we fit it all in our SUV with the back seat down - maybe you would have to make two trips as the chairs are large.
