I've been buying this for 3 years based on recommendations from hunting friends who use it in their blinds and will continue to buy this.

The only negative comment I have is trying to see the glowing orange light on the canister to verify it’s lit. I am only seeing a little pin point orange light very difficult to see. So I contacted thermacell customer service see the next day to ask them about this condition. The individual to talked to didn’t seem knowledgeable of the problem that I was encountering and said if I wasn’t satisfied I should return the item back to Lowe’s. Well since I didn’t have a store receipt or original packaging I can’t return it. I am hopeful thermacell can assist me further.

Our group of 20 sit in a circle every night on vacation and none of us spray with bug spray. We are on the bank of a large lake that provides millions of mosquitoes. The units work that good. We put them on the ground between two chairs around our circle. No problems. The reason for 3 stars is there is no longer an option to purchase just mats for original Thermacell units. Your forced to purchase mats and fuel both. Please go back to either option again rather than forc in ng us to spend more money.

Since mosquitoes love me, I have to have my ThermaCell in order to enjoy my own backyard. I love the fact that I don't have to apply or spray repellent on myself. The lanterns are attractive and so easy to use, too. Try this product! I cannot imagine anyone not being satisfied with it.

This is a great product, and I recommend THERMACELL to anyone, friends and strangers. IF I HAD to complain, it would be great if the pads lasted as long as the butane cartridge (I have to wait for it to cool to replace pad--and the mosquitoes know it. Buzz!) GET THIS PRODUCT--YOU CAN TRULY ENJOY THE OUTDOORS!
