Rated 3 out of 5 by Thumper from Decent But Could Be Better It's an ok speaker. it does have a lot of problems though. For one it skips quite a few beats. They'll be instances in a song where a certain sound doesn't play because I guess the speaker doesn't know how to play it and it almost always skips the first bit of a song. Like it can't quite catch up to having the next song play. It also only lasts for maybe about 4 hours but I kinda expected it to have a short life span before needing a charge. Not sure if sound skipping is only a problem for me or if all 808 Thumps are like this. Like I said, it's an ok speaker but there are better ones out there

Rated 5 out of 5 by James from ThisThis little thing packs a punch! I have owned a handful of desktop Bluetooth speakers in the past. All of them have been disappointing. I listen to a lot of bass heavy music, and the bass always ended up missing or making the speaker crack. I had seen the larger 808 hex sl on display at a different store, but was uncertain of if the speaker quality. The display doesn't use the type of music I listen to, and the display volume didn't go very loud. I was however, fond of the design. A few weeks later I saw this mini 808 speaker at Lowes, and decided to give it a try. The $20 price tag was more than reasonable. Paired it up to my cell phone when I got home and was blown away! This little thing pounds! I got all kinds of joy out of playing song after song through it. The bass was clearly audible. Even when turned all the way up, the speaker never cracked. I have since gone and invested in the larger SL model, but I still use this speaker at work. The only thing I would change about this speaker is the charging options. A dc in would have between nice. Other than that, this thing is a great buy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jeff37 from powerful punch in a small size! I've been searching for a Bluetooth speaker for months. I saw this one and I couldn't beat the sale price. Clear and crisp sound with very good bass. Super easy to pair with your device. No distortion, even with the volume cranked high. The only thing that I wished was different.... there should be a volume control on the speaker itself, but there isn't. It's a small inconvenience for me, but that certainly wouldn't prevent me from buying a second one.

Not audiophile quality, but for filling a house with music during the holidays, or while doing renovations, it's great. The only problem we encountered was that our iPhones didn't really want to recognize it. It took a little playing with but once we got it connected, it worked great.
