This LED T8 tube light bulb from TorontoLed® will illuminate your living space. This tube emits 2200 lm and has a wattage of 18 W>50 W. In addition, this tube works with or without a ballast and lights with a 180-degree beam, creating no shadows. cUL and DLC certified.

These tubes can be wired direct to 120 volts with no ballast. Especially if the ballast is older, the direct connection 120v is the best choice. And tt can avoid the damage of the tube due to the aging of the ballast.

Can I use these bulbs in a T12 fixture, G13 base? Will they work with a magnetic ballast? Confused about the Daylight rating.I thought daylight was 5000k??

Yes the bulb will fit, have an electrician rewire the G13 base to bypass any ballast and add a fuse.

I have just now received delivery of my light order and it says on the package only operates on electronic ballast. Can they be direct wired and if so why were no instructions included?

Our T8 tubes can work with or without electronic ballast. However, Electrical knowledge is needed to wire the tubes directly (Ballast removed or bypass ballast), like Electrical safety knowledge. Is the lumen specification of 2100 correct? This seems low for 18 watts.

It is brightest for 18w T8 tube. Most 16-18w T8 tubes are only 1300-1800lumens in the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BrentT from Great value and energy efficient. Great light output at 116 lumens/watt. Although they are retrofit (electronic ballast compatible), they work even better and are more efficient when wired direct with no ballast. If you are not sure how to do that properly, consult an electrician before attempting to remove or bypass a ballast in any fixture.

Perhaps too bright. lol. On the website it says they are for dry conditions but the bulbs say suitable for damp location so bathroom installation is O.K. also.
