I just assembled it and used it for just a few hours and I kinda noticed there was this weird smell coming out of it. Is it normal for a bit of chemical smell for the first use or is it an indication that there is something wrong with the motor?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Golf Grumps from Bigger Fan at a reasonable price! Bought 2 of them about a week ago and they work great. Easy to put together and comes with a remote which is handy. 3 speeds and a timer function for 1-2-4 hour shut off. When you press the buttons or change with the remote, the beep didn't need to be as loud and the red indicator lights didn't need to be as bright but both of those factors aren't a big deal. I like that it's bigger than a standard fan. Easy to put together and should last for years.

A couple of negatives...louder than expected in terms of the blade generating humming sound( some ppl may say it's a plus if you like white background noise) Another minor annoyance is that there is no dedicated on/off switch. So if you are at low setting, you have to cycle past the med and high setting before it shuts off. Overall, I recommend it if you want MORE POWER in a fan Darth Fan

Rated 4 out of 5 by momlife from Good Quality Machine To Create A Flow of Air Bought in desperation during a recent heat wave and a certain big warehouse store was all out of fans (though they had many the day before). The reviews looked good for this so we went for it. We needed something to move the hot air around and make us feel like we were not melting. Now be warned, the weight of the box might take you by surprise. We found out why once we opened the box. The base of this is hefty. Which is great to help prevent tornado toddlers from knocking it over. The instructions are presented in a similar pictorial wordless way that's all too familiar to many of us if you've bought from a Swedish store known for including Allen keys with their items. Once you figure out the picture directions for putting it together, it takes about 10 minutes, you're all set. Though we somehow had a random piece left over (still trying to figure that out). The whole fan feels well made and is more sturdy than other stand fans we've seen out there. We were immediately impressed with how much air this moved around even on the lowest setting.

J'aurais aimé que les clips qui ferment les pales ferment avec plus d'ajustement et de facilité. Elles ne ferment pas toutes complètement. J'ai eu de la difficiulté lors du montage de la base. Je m'en sers a la vitesse basse en ce moment et il a une belle force de ventilation.
