Description

This modern-design Whirlpool(TM) range hood features a 3-speed peripheral ventilation system with a maximum 400 CFM airflow, which effectively eliminates vapours, odours and smoke. Convertible venting allows you to choose between outward air filtration or air recirculation, depending on your home setup. The built-in noise reduction technology includes sound isolation that ensures operation at no more than 66 dBA at full speed, while the grease filters are fully removable and can be cleaned in the dishwasher for easy range hood maintenance. Finally, the integrated LED lights provide excellent visibility when using your cooktop. This 30" fingerprint-resistant stainless steel-finish range hood is backed by a 1-year limited warranty on parts and labour.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this hood November 2016 before starting a remodel project (I hadn't considered the warranty aspects, that it is only 1 year). I ended up hooking it up about a year later. Since then the LED lights have generated a whining/buzzing that has gotten worse. Just this morning my wife was making lunch and I noticed that the fan motor is humming but must not be turning as no air was moving on low, medium or high. Very disappointed and since I hadn't hooked it up right away it's now out of warranty. If you want something that just looks nice feel free to consider; if you're hoping something that will last keep looking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Melissa from Loved it at first.....Broke in 1 year Lightly Used I purchased this ventahood when I bought my home and I lightly used it....literally like less than 20 times thought the year. It made a sound like a crackling thump and stopped venting. Of course it's out of the warranty so I either replace it or call a repair man.....very disappointed.

The thing I don't like is the fan is about 2.5 feet above my cooktop and it does not take away all the cooking smell. Even when put on high it is not that effective.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from the builder to get this hood vent in my new house because it was stylish. The LED lights give good coverage over the stove top and it does a good job sucking out the smokiness. I dont think is was exorbitantly expensive either. I've seen some of these hood units costing nearly $1,000 (What!?!) and the other models don't look as stylish as this Whirlpool model. Great job Whirlpool! I'm impressed.

The reason I am giving a 3 is the fan is not powerful enough when it is this far to take out the smell from cooking.
