Rated 4 out of 5 by ehawkins from Raised base saves your back [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The whirlpool 15.5 inch base for washer and dryer raises both appliances up so they’re at waste/hip level therefore saving your back. I rated it a 4 only because I wish the sides came up higher when you pull the drawer out so that it functioned more like a drawer. I store my bounce sheets, garment bags, etc. in the bottom and sometimes they fall out on the sides, if it was raised up on the sides that wouldn’t happen. This is not my first whirlpool washer and dryer, I stay with the brand because I like it. No more backache bending down, makes it easy to see what is in the machine. I am curious as we have two dogs and we have had "accidents" infrequently but now I can take the drawers out and clean under the washer and dryer without moving them around. My washer is also perfectly stable throughout every cycle, not rocking or banging into the dryer during high speed spin. Employee purchased and proud of what we make! .

Rated 1 out of 5 by almosthadit from Surprising limitations [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to have these pedestals installed on my washer and dryer, but once the installation crew arrived they informed me they couldn't install the pedestals. Their reasoning was pedestals can only be installed on washers that have never completed a full wash cycle. I'm pretty sure the washers drain themselves, and most have a backup method to drain any lingering water. Either way, that and the fact our laundry room is upstairs may have discouraged the installer all together.

They operate quieter, have more features, and slightly larger capacity. We timed our purchase with a sale, so what's not to like?!!

The WFP2715HC pedestal is supposed to be a match for the Inglis IFW5900HW washer, according to the official Whirlpool parts list. But its footprint is two inches shorter in depth, as I disgustingly found out after buying one. I was so astounded that I went to a retail store that had them on display on the showroom floor, to confirm that yes, I'd installed it correctly, and yes, it's apparently not supposed to line up as one would expect with the back of the washer's cabinet. Please see my annotated pictures. The awkward rear cantilever is more than just an aesthetic/cosmetic problem. The weight of the washer is designed to be supported where its frame has recess points for the leveling feet. Arbitrarily shifting these point loads two inches and just squashing the pedestal's spacer pads onto the washer's sheet metal is going to cause warping and eventual vibration trouble. Shame on Whirlpool for such a sloppy fitting product!

I like that it lifts the washer/dryer and no more bending. I knew I would like them. However, both arrived dented on the side. I was in a time crunch, wanted the items, and installed them. I am happy with their functionality. I was not impressed with Customers Service, who offered little assistance or care or compassion when I reported them as damaged.

They were still going strong after 13 years. Left in home we sold. These Wpl units are replacements and couldn't be happier. The height of these pedestals elevates exactly where needed plus provides great storage. Only drawback is you can overload with heavy bottles that cause drag.

I love that I don’t have to bend over to transfer the laundry, and the drawer is very convenient to store laundry soap and dryer sheets and things in. Keeps thing tidier that way.

It can be pushed back even, but pops right back out. When I contacted Whirlpool they said I could send this one back and they would refund my money. Then I would have to buy a new one at the new price which is much higher. So much for customer care.

The first thing we noticed was the amount of plastic that was being used along with the poor design of the dispenser unit. You can not open the door fully with the dispenser open or even close the door.
