Rated 4 out of 5 by P from Nice product This unit takes up very little room under the sink. Install was easy with any kind of DIY skills. Save yourself a trip back to the store buy a good 3/8male x 3/8 female to 3/8 plastic push lock with a shutoff 13$. The unit only includes a plastic tee and it is junk will strip out easy. I couldn't rest knowing that tee was all that was preventing a flood. Only giving a four because of trip back to store for better fittings and for uncertainty of the quality of the water. It's filtering city water and seems to remove odor and taste is a lot better then the tap.

I installed it in the hole that the sprayer for the old faucet occupied. This basically replaced the faucet mounted filter we had before and this is so much better. The convenience is great but the best thing is the flow. It doesn't flow like an open faucet but it flows 100 times faster than a faucet mounted filter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by B from Works Great Upon reading many reviews we decided to purchase this water filter. One complaint I saw a few times was the provided tee connector which is plastic leaked. I elected to install a brass tee and a shutoff valve and haven’t had any leaking problems. Install was very fast and easy. From shutting off the water to back on was under 15min. The taste is great from the filters. We live in town so our water is treated before it gets to us but the taste is off and this system takes care of that. My only complaint is with the water dispenser that comes with. It is mostly made of fairly cheap plastic and I debate how long it will last. Overall we are very happy with this and I would definitely purchase again. Also many people have complained about the flow. We have been using it heavily for well over a month now and the flow is great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Max from There is a chemical taste, first few days of use. We use this filter in San Francisco, where the water is good enough to drink straight from the tap. This filter lasts less than a month here and gets clogged up. To fill a glass of water you often have to wait 90 sec or so. The first weeks of using the new cartage there is a distinct chemical flavor in the water.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Imstokd from Flow rate insufficient Whirlpool Dual Stage Filter Review Purchased this item from our local Lowe’s just over a week ago. This review is a mixed bag. First, the not so good news – buyers beware – the flow on this is pretty anemic. If you look on the outside of the box, there is no description or declaration of flow rate; you have to carefully search the owner’s manual to find it – it is NOT on the box. Once you do find it, they claim 0.5 gallons per minute, or 8 cups/minute. (we are lucky to get 0.4/minute, we have timed it multiple times) If you are expecting a good flow rate, this is not the item for you. Now for the good – if you already have an extra hole in your counter, super simple installation. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Just be careful with the plastic tee – it can get cross-threaded easily. Simply cut your color-coded hoses, press them into the color-coded receptacles and Presto! Simple installation. I just wish there was a “keyhole slot” or something so that the unit could be mounted on the side of a cabinet or such. It just sits on the bottom of a cabinet. After purging the system and letting it run, the flavor is quite nice. If you are looking for good tasting water, this one fits the bill. Cartridges can be quite pricey, but they last 6 months. Overall, I am only giving 3 out of 5 because of the flow rate. Strongly considered returning it, but I think we will live with it. Too much hassle to take it back and re-install another. Would I buy this again? No.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bubba2018 from Do not buy this filtration system...keep looking Used the dual stage system for six months with no problems and attempted to change the filters only to have two different sets of filters shoot out of the housing. If the taps runs, it's fine. They stay in. If it's shut off, we get filters and waters all over the floor. Yes, we bought the right filters and yes we tried installing different ways.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Glockster from Nice Filtration System My refrigerator filtered water stopped working, so I bought this system to have filtered water once again. First let me say I have both plumbing and plastic fitting installation experience. Installed and working in 30 minutes. I installed this system in laundrey room sink, lot easier to drill a hole in plastic than than kitchen silestone. I usually fill up gallon jugs of water at a time anyway. Definitely want to make sure you have a shutoff valve which I did. Plastic fitting worked fine, no leaks. I would recommend using the entire length of the tubing as they are cut square. Shortening the tubing, cutting yourself without a true tube cutter is inviting a leak. I also set my filter assembly in a small plastic trash can longways with the plastic lines coming out the top. The plastic drip tray supplied is truly a joke here as you will see. Flow is no slower than my refrigerator, so that is not an issue with me. Apparently, the sensor only counts down six months and lets you know when it's time to change filters. Doesn't monitor actual filter Condition. I plan to change my once a year as I did with the refrigerator filter or until water starts to taste bad. All in all, very please with system. Cheaper that buying a new refrigerator.
