Why is this pergola so expensive?  Buying the lumber and doing it yourself equals less than one third the cost.  The large posts are $36 each x 6= $216 in Canada.  The remainder of the lumber and screws is about $325.  Is the labor really over $3000?

The pictures show what looks like a standard recycling bin on the floor. The inside dimensions are supposedly only 15.5" from front to back, but s standard recycle bin is 18" deep. Does anyone know what the actual inside depth is?

The inside measurement is just 18 inches deep above the floor but there is a small 1x2 board across the bottom of the front edge that acts as a door stop, so there is only about 16.5 inches of free floor space. You could sit a bin on top of it though so I think it will fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Popeye from Just What I Needed in the Kitchen The table has to be assembled by the purchaser. All the parts are pre-drilled, and the directions are simple to understand. The only tricky part was fastening the table top to the base. For that you need help with a flashight so you can ensure that the screw holes line up. Do not tighten ANY of the four screws until they are all in place. I bought the table as I suffer from osteoarthritis in my lower back (seeing as I'm a guy, I do whine about it). We have a high kitchen chair that allows me to sit at the table and prepare meals. This is much more comfortable than standing for a long time. We are very satisfied with the product and would happily endorse it.

I was kept in the loop the whole time. The package arrived on time with no damage. By following the excellent assembly procedures provided, construction was straight forward. Except for attaching the second wall section to the first, putting on the roof and hanging the first door, I was able to do the rest of the assembly myself. All pieces and pre-assembled units fit extremely well, no pieces or hardware were missing and I am very pleased with the final product. My garden shed looks exactly the same as that shown in the literature.

Furthermore, I was extremely impressed with the vast selection of bar stools available. Once ordered, they were shipped to us almost a week earlier than first estimated (and we were also able to track the shipping). The biggest surprise was that they arrived fully assembled and perfectly intact (no scratches, no blemishes, no imperfections). Sooooo happy with these bar stools and have already endorsed the same to my daughter and husband who have just purchased a new home and will be needing bar stools.

The quality of the exterior cedar was really disappointing. It is extremely rough to the point of being almost 'hairy'. It was difficult to stain and absorbed almost two gallons of stain for such a small shed and will be impossible to clean spider webs and general garden and plant related debris off its surface as it acts like velcro. The window comes with a screen but the cedar siding (which forms the exterior, interior walls) bows out in several places and doesn't fit tight so can see light through several spaces which will allow rodents / bugs easy access to the interior. The images of the advertised shed are NOT true to the actual quality of the wood.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Peony Girl from Good looking shed! First, 4th and 5th picture is more accurate. Cedar is better looking in picture. You need to be handy or have it built for you as it is not easy to construct yourself. Instructions are not perfect and you need to drill sideways to hit the connection points accurately. Parts do not line up 100% so use a level to make sure. We got this on sale and with an additional 15% off so it was worth it. It looks good once assembled. Side pieces are more rough than front pieces. Not 100% weatherproof as there are slight gaps in between panels (back is made up of two separate panels and don't align 100%). We like this for the size and given the price, it was worth the purchase!

Will serve its purpose but I probably would have bought an all-mdf night table had I known the sides were going to be cheap particle board. The drawer does not glide smoothly. The 'satin nickel knobs' are cheap. Thankfully, I purchased white, as another reviewer stated the sides did not match the parts that are actually made of real wood. Easy to assemble. Good looks (in white). Would only recommend this product IF it was properly described so people knew what they were buying.

It serves as extra storage (coffee pot, mixer and food processor) as well as extra work space in a poorly designed kitchen. The narrow profile means my kitchen isn't crowded but with the flip-up leaf it turns into a very useable work surface for cooking and baking! It was a bit of a challenge to put together (even though the instructions are pretty good) but the end result is a sturdy and very well constructed piece that I think will last a long time!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Charlcien from Good features/colour It's as expected, good features/colour, matched the design of the room it'll be in, ease in assembly, in pristine condition when we received it (well-packed). The only "flaw", I should say, is that the "floor" or bottom shelf of the cabinet is too thin. For a huge cabinet space, we can not load it much. It'd have been much better if it's an inch (as solid as the bar it's perched on) thick - it's only a flimsy 3-4mm-thick - to support more weight. And an additional flexible shelf (that can be positioned at any level, just by providing pegs and already-drilled holes into the walls) won't hurt, to divide the space and optimize the use of this night stand. It's not worth it though to return it to the store over that one disappointing thing. It does serve its purpose and we like it, overall.
