I also have the garden trimmer and leaf blower and looking at buying the skill saw, I also bought the 4.0 V20 volt batteries when they were on sale as they fit and last twice as long when using. Hope that helps.

It sped right through. I used the regular drill for the deck boards because I can change the settings and not sink all the way through the deck boards. Both batteries always lasted all day. I never had a battery die on me once. I bought the 20V miter saw and it lasted all day cutting 2x6’s with a 4AH battery. So far I have done a 14x12 deck and outdoor furniture. I also have the 20V sander and circular saw. All work flawlessly. The batteries really hold their weight.

Once I saw this bundle on the shelves at Lowe's I knew I had to have it. The price is absolutely the best part of the deal. Both tools work great! they are well made, comfortable in the hand, and have a "quality" weight to them. The batteries last long, charge quickly, and don't add to the weight in the slightest. The bag that comes with the tools is alright, I store my tools in an actual tool box, but the bag has definitely proven to be handy. Load the bag up with bits, fasteners and other supplies and you can work all over the house without having to lug around a tool box. Now I'm not a professional by any means, but for simply DIY builds or repairs these tools are definitely going to get the job done. When it comes down to it, you can't beat the price! I highly recommend picking up this set! 5 stars, good job Craftsman

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes that’s right, it’s my favorite combo kit , many ways it’s very affordable , compact size tools yet enough power to do your every day jobs yet you have enough juice left in the battery , like another thing two tools with two batteries so yo don’t have to switch, very handy in the tight spots and light weight also makes it easy to use everywhere like drill driver with speed variation through speed control switch, impact driver also have more than enough power to do the job right ! All in all this is most reliable tool kit by one of the most reliable tools brands!

For this price we would have expected only one drill, or maybe only one battery, or a cheap feeling tool. This combo kit included 2 batteries, and the tools feel solid. To be fair, I have only used each of them once so far, so I can't say how they'll perform over time. We have owned Dewalt drills in the past for comparison, but the price lured me in to try these out, as well as the Craftsman reputation and other reviews. Time will tell. But for now, very pleased with the initial quality and value.

On the very first day, the clutch went out on the impact driver when I tried to attach a 2x4 to a 4x4 post. I managed to complete the project using only the drill only. I must say I was impressed with the amount of torque the drill had. Going to get my money back and stick with Dewalt

Can't charge the batteries at all. Contact craftsman for tech support. They don't do direct warranty in Canada. You have to send it to the 3rd party to get your warranty. No help support line for Canada. It's out for the exchange warranty period. The power tools only good for few months and turn into a heavy paper weight. You have to pay shipping to send out the charger and the batteries for the warranty. To mail it out for warranty most likely to cost around $30-$40. I lost the faith with the Craftsman. They used to make really good tools. I used them for many many years. I have to shop for another brand I need something more reliable and I can use more than twice.

Rated 1 de 5 de Casey par not worth the time and effort I got these as a gift for Christmas last year and by early summer the impact driver quit working and it's not the motor it's the trigger on the driver. Sometimes when you pull the trigger just right it will work but next time probably not. and now it's almost Christmas again and the drill is starting to do the same as the impact driver. I would even be up to putting a new trigger switch in them but they don't sell parts for these models, I wonder why .

The 20V max fast charger does charge fast about 60 min and lasts for a good while 1-2 hrs for me !Both the drill and the impact driver has plenty of power for the regular homeowner!It has a strong LED light that stays on after use for about 14 sec. which is really nice instead of quickly shutting off like most drills!Both drills and batteries have a small profile for tight spaces which is great also and have a very comfortable rubber grip. the only one thing I did not like was the weight of them too me it's slightly heavy but all in all a fine buy. Cant beat Craftsman!!!

Rated 1 de 5 de Dean par drill broke on first use i'm a long time craftsman user. maybe all my other tools are from before they moved manufacturing to china, not sure, but all my old stuff works great. i based my choice on this history. the impact driver worked great. but the first time i used the drill something broke in the gears that drive the chuck. thought at first it was stuck in neutral. but nope nothing i did would correct the issue would act like it was going to work, but any resistance on the chuck would cause it to make a clicking noise and not do anything. really dissapointed.

As a decently priced set not only was I impressed with the power and additional life added by the 20v max batteries, the convenience, increased speed and accuracy of having the second drill is immeasurable. So much time saved with not having to constantly switch between my drill/countersink bits and my drivers. I will never go back to bit swapping even with quick change bits. Drills last all day on a single charge as well.

The first thing I did right out of the box was to put a full charge on both batteries. While I was waiting on that, I took a look at the drill and the impact driver. Both are well made and should last under moderate to heavy use. I haven't dropped one yet, so I can't say how well they will hold up under abuse. The one thing I don't like is instead of a fitted case, which these tools deserve, you get a canvas bag. Both tools, batteries and the charger all fit in the bag, but I don't like stacking things on top of each other. The bag isn't tall enough to stand the stools upright side-by-side so you have to lay them down on top of each other with the charger thrown in. I also don't like that there is no more room to put in other items neatly like boxes of screws and drill accessories. Now, on to the tools. These things both shined very well. With the drill, my wife had purchased an old wooden bread bowl from an antique shop. It was stained and in pretty bad shape so I needed to sand it down and re-oil it. I chucked a small sanding attachment designed for sanding concave surfaces and went to town. I sanded and sanded and sanded some more. I finally got the inside looking good and attacked the outside. While sanding, I decided to try and test the power of the drill. I pressed pretty hard and couldn't bog it down at all. After that project, I wanted to try some large forstner bits. Chucked a pice of red oak on my bench vice and a 1 inch bit. The drill chewed right through with no problems. Next, I had to install an over the range microwave. To do this, I had to drill several mounting holes through ceramic tile and drill a 1.5 inch access hole through the lower cabinet for the power cord. Again, no problem even going through a 2x6 spacer block. Next, I had to use the impact driver to screw in 4 lag bolts into 2x4 for the microwave mounting hanger. No problem with torquing those down. After these projects and a couple more, I am still working off the initial charge. I haven't even used half the go juice. I am quite impressed with the quality, power and endurance of tools and the batteries. The verdict is still out on their long term use, but based on what I have seen so far, this shouldn't be a problem.

I have the 20V version and have had plenty of time to get used to it as I used Dewalt to remodel my entire house. These Craftsman tools will hold their own. I have attached a few photos for reference. Note: The batteries on my Dewalts are a bit larger capacity so they sit a bit higher, but both tools put out good power. Also, the Dewalt is a Hammer Drill and the Craftsman is standard. I would recommend the Craftsman to anyone. The drill feels light in the hand but not cheap. Overall the finish is great, but maybe because of familiarity, I ever so slightly prefer the feel of the Dewalt. The impact driver has great force and drives screws and bolts like a champ. It is a bit weird that it's quite a bit longer than the Dewalt but the only time I notice the size is when storing it in the bag. If I had the choice, I wouldn't think twice about buying either one of these. For the price, it may swing me to getting the Craftsman.

But after a month of lightly using the impact, it is now only operable on the trigger on full. The light only works when you have the trigger pulled down. I don’t how to fix this or how I can get an exchange for a new one. I have the receipt too.

Pros: Lights up while you drill Battery indicator on back is great Feels good in the hand Gets the job done Battery life has been pretty good so far. That's usually the short coming of most drills nowadays. Cons: I have a different brand impact drill that is lighter and easier to use The drill feels like it has less power than my different brand older drill Travel bag is nice but wish it was a little more sturdy Wish it had somewhere to store the unused bit like some other drills Overall: These aren't the best drills I've ever used but they get the job done.

Rated 4 de 5 de MyFirstCar par ALMOST THERE [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my cordless hammer drill / driver about once a week and I have used the cordless impact a few times after having owned them about a year. The battery life is 5 stars, no doubt. The power is good but I was hoping the impact would actually be enough to break loose common lug nuts...not so much. The ergonomics are good and balanced. The chuck has been a little finicky on the drill and is easily loosened if you get too close to your work. Thinking of some of the tools my Dad and I have owned in other brands for comparison, these are very good, and almost there.

Rated 5 de 5 de AeroBrooks par Great Deal for GREAT Tools I've owned Craftsman tools since the early 1980s. I've owned this combo set for over 2 years. The batteries last. The power is there. The test came six months ago when I had the gang over to set post, header boards and supports for a 370 sq ft pond dock. Both drills were used ALL day. The drill screwed 2" to 3" screws in pressure treated 2x8s and 2x10s. The impact drill driving 3" to 5" lag screws into power pole support columns. Both Craftsman drills worked beside DeWalt and Kobalt drills. They held up and never waivered and worked flawlessly. I never had to charge the batteries.. Hundreds of screws of all types were installed that day. 88% of the reviews are 4 and 5 stars. I guess the few low ratings were just bad luck. I've been there as well. I highly recommend.

Rated 4 de 5 de Elt31987 par Excellent Combo Kit with a few drawbacks [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this is a very nice combo kit. Both tools are very well balanced and fit in the hand nicely. Each tool is covered in a quality, grippy rubber everywhere the tool may touch the ground. Both tools have a bright (5000K or so) white LED above the trigger to light up your work area. Both batteries have a capacity indicator on the back to show you how much charge is left. The Drill has your standard plastic chuck with 24 torque settings and 2 speed settings. The Impact Drill has a metal front housing with the red plastic backing. Speaking of the Red plastic, its a very nice shade and seems very scratch resistant. Both tools have VERY little twist when you use to hands and apply torque to try and twist them. Very solid frame. The Impact driver works so well that i was able to drive fully home 3 inch screws through my new bird feeder into a solid fence post with a single hand. If you need to drive in long screws, nothing beats an Impact Driver. The Charger is wall mountable and has nice large charging lights on it. The Bag is a standard bad, no padding, no thrills. Now the drawbacks. The drawbacks are not large enough to be make or break, but are enough to warrant removing one star because they could have easily been engineered differently. The nice, grippy rubber that surrounds the tool to keep it in place when its put down DOES NOT exist on the battery. So if you're using the tool with the battery in(like 100% of the people will) and you put it down on a slanted surface, it will slide around. If you put this down say on a roof it is likely going to go for a ride. Not putting grip on the battery TOTALLY defeats the purpose of the gripping on the unit. On the battery again, this battery has a single push button on the front to release the slide. This makes it very awkward to remove the battery because you need to grip the front and side of the battery, push the button and use your other hand to try and slide to battery off of the tool. Very awkward. Competitors will typically put 2 push buttons on the sides of the battery so you can get a full grip of the battery and the battery drops down, out of the tool instead of sliding off of the tool. Neither tool has a metal, belt clip on the side. There is a clear hole for this clip, but no clip. In this price range, most competitors do have it. So, a very high quality pair with a few quirks that im sure you would get used to if you like Craftsman tools. If you are vested in their ecosystem and have other tools that will take these batteries, its a wise investment for sure.

Rated 3 de 5 de JT par Mid level drill/driver and impact drill set [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This craftsman drill/driver and impact driver are good for the diy’er and novice homeowner completing medium to small projects. I am not a contractor or professional however, I have owned professional drill/drivers in the past and know what to expect in performance tools. The drill/driver in the set has the power commensurate with a top competitor. The batteries last for an acceptable amount of time. Charging time is quick. This set was purchased for a home project. The drill/driver was used in that big deck project on my home and now I found the chuck very loose on this drill. It seems that the bearings are getting worn out fast. It is still usable but not the quality I would expect.

Rated 4 de 5 de MrJDP par Great for the price. I picked up this set for my son as a birthday gift. He’s been helping his buddy remodel his house and fix up some cars and I figured these would come in handy. The drill is comfortable and not too heavy (especially compared to my old Milwaukee 18v drill) and seems to handle anything he can throw at it. The imact driver is on par with others I have used (mostly Dewalt) and easilly drove several 2 1/2” screws into a scrap 4x6. Idid a side by side with my Porter Cable and they’re pretty even. Now for the only con... The bag that comes with this set is pitifully small. It barely fit the tools, batteries and charger. I’d prefer a bag that allows room for at least a small drill index and some other accessories (driver bits, adapters, etc). All in all I’m happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others. Just be ready to buy a better bag.
