Type 1 est un adhésif acrylique traditionnel ininflammable et de qualité professionnelle, conçu pour l'installation de carreaux de céramique et de porcelaine émaillés et non émaillés, sur les murs, les sols et les comptoirs. Pour usage intérieur seulement. Répond ou surpasse les exigences des normes ANSI A136.1, Type 1.

Mastic should never be used to adhere tile to Kerdi Board. Schluter does not warranty tile applications where any mastic adhesive is used. Mastic not only takes much longer to set up, but the adhesion strength is quite inferior. If you are using Schluter products you should always use an approved thin set.

Rated 5 de 5 de Tee par Wall Tile Adhesive As a professional installer I recommend this product on walls only... not flooring. For floors use a good to high quality mortar product, latex based mixed to the same consistency in every batch. This is an excellent product on walls even over cement board. A dry surface skin will prevent adhesion if the tile is not installed on the glue surface in a timely manner. On some tiles I apply the glue to the wall and a thin flat troweled layer of glue to the tile to ensure adhesion. I've only used the previous method on glass and marble. Glass and Marble does not seem to absorb the glue as well as clay based tiles. If installed correctly this product will hold the tile for decades.

Rated 5 de 5 de RobbieT par Good stuff- other review didn't do it correct This product is meant to be used for quick applications such as a backsplash or any other wall tile that won't have any walking traffic. If you're putting tile down on backer board or on concrete for floor tile you need to use a bag of tile mortar (not rapid set) and mix it to ensure a good quality Bond. If you don't that is your own fault that you didn't do the research. Also you really don't want to use this in any walk-in showers or shower surrounds.

This has been a tremendous help setting my tile mosaic backsplash, because you end up in intricate corners where you can't just apply all the adhesive at once and then stick it on, because there are a ton of tiny cuts to make. If I'd been mixing thinset each time, I'd be using a measuring cup, and probably wasting a bunch - with this I can pop it open, give it a stir, and set those finishing tiles 8 or 10 at a time, close it up, go cut 10 more (any more than that, with irregular length tiles, and it's too easy to lose track of where they go.) Once or twice I've discovered I've made a mistake, maybe 4-6 hours later, and I had to pry the tiny tiles off the wall with a screwdriver, so the adhesive cures fine. However! Like I said above, pay attention to the label - this stuff is only intended for floor tiles up to 4"x4" I believe. That's inches, not feet. It's an adhesive, not a thinset, so it doesn't dry the same, and the bigger the tiles, the longer it takes to cure - up to 72 hours in some conditions (per the label, for my mosaic tiles it's solid as a rock in half a day.) So if you buy this expecting to lay 12x12, 12x24, or 18x18 tiles on the floor, you're going to get bad results. By the label you can lay 12"x12" tiles on the wall with this, because they're not going to bear that kind of load, but for my money, laying 12" tiles I'd be using real thinset anyway, floor OR wall. This is great for backsplashes, mosaics etc, but use case aside, it'd be way too expensive to do a whole room with it. A bucket, a mixing bit for a drill, and a huge bag of thinset would be cheaper than one container of this, and easily go twice as far. But for small jobs, like backsplashes, etc, where it doesn't make sense to mix up thinset to lay what amounts to 1 sq ft of tile at a time, then this stuff is great. There are more reviews for this on the Lowes.ca (Canada) site, that tell the similar story - people who use as directed are satisfied. The ones who give it a 1 star rating are complaining that after 24 hours they can peel up their 12x24 tiles and it's still wet.

I used it on 6 x 24 floor tile, but it recommended for nothing bigger than 6 x 6, it worked just fine, I didn't have any drying issues, maybe the others didn't follow the manufacturer's instructions for the tile and mortar, or maybe they got a bad batch?

I laid tile in a 220 sq ft space on correctly prepared concrete; one month later, I'm having to rip out the tile due to the lack of adhesion of this product. While I was pulling up the tile, the adhesive was "dry" but it peeled up with a putty knife with little effort and is almost chalky. I'm replacing the tile and adhesive however, am using Mape Rapid Setting Tile Mortar #feels more like concrete than chalk, when dried#. I can already tell the difference in quality. After looking up reviews online #not on Lowe's#, we found bad review after bad review regarding this product. Tough lesson learned. Pros - it's smooth, easy to work with, and it's being premixed saves time and muscle on mixing your own adhesive. Cons - it doesn't stick - within a month the tiles lose their adhesion. Pros are obsolete if the product doesn't work.
