Rated 4 de 5 de HowieA par Hardy and useful, a good workhorse. Our old Kenmore disposal was on it's last legs. Always jamming and even after freeing it up with the key, it would still humm and blow the breaker, so in the words of my Mum, "It's done!" So this one was the right mix of functionality and price to serve our purpose. Imagine my delight when it matched the old Kenmore in all dimensions and just went in where the other came out. It's a fraction more noisy than the Kenmore, but it grinds everything up well and fast. And for those who complain it's to noisy, It's just a tool in the kitchen and it's not like it runs for hours during a dinner party. Over all a good functional unit.

Rated 5 de 5 de Hal2 par easy replacement of old Badger 5 Our 0.5 HP Badger 5 Insinkerator died after 22 years of use. We bought a 0.75 HP Badger 444 to replace it. The Badger 444 was compatible with the old garberetor's collar and outlet tube location, so it was easy to install. The new Badger 444 is quieter than the old Badger 5 was before it died, but the old one may have gotten louder over its years of use, so I cannot say whether a new Badger 444 is quieter than a new Badger 5 would be. I am glad that I could reuse the old collar since it was a shiny stainless steel (like our sink), while the one included with the new Badger 444 was a much duller color.

Rated 5 de 5 de Tamarisk par Can't be without one! This is the third insinkerator we have had in the space of 29 years in this house. The first one was a 1/2 horse power motor and when it quit, we moved onto a 3/4 horse power 444. It lasted for about 15 years, give or take, and finally bit the dust and the new Badger Insinkerator 444 was purchased and installed. I am lost when I don't have access to this machine, even though we live on a farm and have a place for a lot of our scraps to go for the birds, etc. Love this product!! I just hope that places don't try banning garburators in the future, which has been suggested in some cities.

Rated 4 de 5 de Dianne77 par Badger 440 review So far we have been happy with this product. We had a less expensive Badger before and it was in our Condo when we moved in. It did not last very long as it was not stainless steel. This new Badger has been excellent so far. It was easy to replace the old one with only one factor. As senior citizens, we had to have someone with more arm strength to put the Badger in place. We have a number of residents who are always willing to help so it was not an issue for us. The weight of the product and having to twist it onto the handle was the problem. Certainly not an issue for most other people. Thank you for the design and ease of replacement. We know that we will have many years of service from the new one.

Rated 1 de 5 de Artt par The service centre rep said it would be easy to install. She was right. My wife uses our insinkerator a lot. So after 9 years it was time for a replacement. I wanted to do the replacement myself. I called the company service line. The rep said it would be easy but if I had any difficulty with it to call her back for help. With that assurance I took on the task. No problem. The local retailer had a unit in stock and within the same day we were back in business. My product rating comment pertains to the original unit, of course. We will see how the Badger 444 performs. So far so good and it has been about 7 weeks. I have no comment about "innovation" .

Rated 5 de 5 de RonJon par Second In Sinkerator This is my second Insinkerator-after 12 years trouble free, my first one devoloped a crack in the housing and a rusted out connection. No issues during the entire 12 years of multple daily uses. Now I purchased and had my second one installed (virtually the same unit). This unit has the same model number, and looks identical to the one I removed. No need to change any plumbing as everything just reconnected in the same places which was much appreciated. I expect another 10-15 years of uninterrupted use. This is a great product at a reasonable price that I would recommend anyone.

Rated 5 de 5 de HappyPecks par Excellant product We purchased this to replace our old one that wore out. This one is so much quieter, and it seems faster to garburate. My husband installed it, and he is no handyman! All he needed was for me to hold it still at one point. It maybe took him 20 minutes to take the old one off and install the new one. It was a little more expensive than our old model but I think it was well worth the money. My sister & Brother in-law were visiting since we installed it and they were super impressed that we could put chicken bones down it and how quiet it was. They are going to replace theirs now.

Rated 5 de 5 de bartmon par Lots of pros, few cons This is a very solid product. Works well, gives me zero problems, doesn't leak, disposes of food stuff incredibly well. The MOST impressive feature with regard to installation is insinkerator's cuff system (the part the machine mounts to under the since drain). The fact that this was standardized and I could simply take off the old (very old) insinkerator and just twist this one onto the same cuff made installation a hundred times easier. I only had to connect the plumbing and attach the wires. That was it! Amazing and impressive and I would buy another in a heartbeat.
