Rated 4 de 5 de Lynn Freeland par very good product The machine itself is easy to use and was helpful for me to chop hay for a horse that could not swallow regular hay. It was awesome in that respect. I did find however that the chopped product does tend to get caught up in the area just under the hole to feed in the stuff you want shredded. It then needs to be removed. I also wish the string would last a little longer but these are minor things in the overall performance. Customer service is excellent on this product as I had to return my first machine because of a switch problem and the replaced it with free shipping and a prepaid voucher to send the othe machine back. Very awesome service.

Rated 3 de 5 de Fixer par Work well after you do many modifications This could have been made better. As far as doing the job, it works great, but I had to modify it in several places. The biggest is the cooling air intake for the motor.There is a filter that is internal and cannot be cleaned without taking the whole thing apart, I put a pre filter on the outside that keeps the internal filter from getting completely blocked . Next I taped over any gaps or openings ,this keeps the leaf dust down. I use a strap to attach the bag, this seals it and keeps a lot of the leaf dust down.

The amount of leaves this year was huge and this Sun Joe shredder made the cleanup very easy. I used a gas-powered blower to get the leaves in the back corner of the lot and my daughter mulched them. It was so efficient that I had a hard time keeping up with her. We took care of the entire back yard in less than a couple of hours, and the mulching line is still in good shape. The only negative is that it didn't fit well on top of the small round plastic garbage can I used and was tilted, but it still worked well. It does put out some dust so wear old clothes and a dust mask. I mulched a test batch using a 30-gal garbage back and there was no dust at all however. I highly recommend this mulcher!

Does a wonderful job on leaves and twigs, but has trouble with larger branches. I used it to shred leaves to add organics to a new garden spot and I am more than pleased with its performance. Hard to beat for the price!!! Just moved from a 20 acre farm to a suburban neighborhood, have a lot of experience with power tools, and wish I had discovered this product sooner!!

Rated 5 de 5 de SaltyTomato par Pine Straw Mulch Happiness! This product was great for my project! I had another brand for several years and loved it too, but it died. After much ado, I chose the SunJoe to replace it. It has several features and more power than the other. The twine is so much easier to change - no tools needed. My whole need for this product is about pine straw. No other reviews seemed to talk about pine straw mulching. I have only reviewed two other things in my life and one of those was a vacation location. I have twenty 100' tall huge pine trees in my yard. I decided to use pine straw to make a pathway in my new wonderful raised bed garden. It took a few days but it is wonderful - almost like a carpet! You have to set the setting on "coarse" instead of "pine straw" or it would take forever and more twine than you could stand to use. My pathway is 84' x 3' x 2" thick. I did have to change the twine for every trash bag full of mulch. And you much be patient - go slow and put a big handful in at a time. It takes about 20 minutes to fill a bag. I am female and 5'10" tall. After each bag I changed the twine and rested and encouraged myself to do another one. It's a slow process. But - I LOVE IT!

Runs great, goes thru cutting lines quick especially when there are small twigs in pile. Used two days in a row, only problem was dirty power switch, used air compressor to blow out area and fixed it.

Rated 5 de 5 de MontyW par Used this yesterday. Worked great. Ran it for a good hr with no interruptions at all. We live in a cul de sac and we get the whole streets leaves blow into our front yard. I raked the leaves and put them in the unit while wifey pushed the leaves around to be better sucked into the mulching area. It is noisy and dusty, but not unbearable. We filled two big black garbage bags which almost filled our green city leaf container. We would have had to make 3-4 more trips to rake all the leaves into our city container but not now... we left some because we knew we had more leaves heading our way... It never quit on us once... and we didnt even have to renew the cutting twine, with all those leaves... I highly recommend this...

I am not getting any dust coming out in my face. I was amazed at how finely the leaves were mulched, even wet leaves. We are turning part of our backyard into a woodland and didn't just want to have our leaves blowing into neighbors yard so this leaf mulch will be going over the wood chips and into our flower beds. We are very pleased with this product and will no longer need 50 leaf bags. I'm collecting our mulch in a large garbage bag that attaches very easily under the strong bands provided on the unit. It's really easy to use and good exercise picking up the leaves . I have found that there was always someone to speak with at the company both before and after I purchased the unit. I really like that they offer a two year warranty just in case I need it.
