Rated 1 de 5 de unirresistable2 par Easy to guess combination in less than a minute This is a revision of an earlier review I did on this product. The combination can be guessed by pressing down and holding the unlock slide, then pressing each combo button in turn. If the button does not move down easily, then that is one of the numbers of the correct combo. Write it down and work another button; keep going until you have them all -- sequence doe NOT matter. With these simple instructions my wife was able to crack the combo in less than a minute with no hints or help. Sequence does not matter, so 4391, 1934, 3491...etc all will work for combo 9134. (So 4213 is the same as...1234 with this lock)! When we returned this product the clerk who helped us was able to crack it in 90 seconds. For this simple reason I strongly recommend you consider something else and NOT this product. Sadly, I cannot modify or delete my earlier review.

Rated 5 de 5 de SmartChicken par MasterLock safety storage box for keys anor cards. This unit is very solid and heavy while providing up to 12 characters for the access code. No one will spend that much time trying to break it (I think they'll try a sledge hammer after a while). People need to be aware that the programming does not allow use of the same number/character more than once. It's easy to program so decide on your access code and turn the switch for each character in sequence and you're done. Mounting screws are provided and they are about 1-1/4" so will set nicely into wood. The weather cover fits snugly and will keep the elements out. I originally looked for this unit at my local Lowe's store but it was not in stock. The sales associate told me that any item under $50 can be ordered at the store and shipping would be free. That's what I did and it arrived in three days. If you order online the shipping will be about $5 so visit the store to save your 5 spot.

Rated 5 de 5 de Rob21114 par ALL Simplex-type push button locks work this way! This is a perfectly solid, well-constructed key lock box. To the reviewers who are critical of the fact that the combination numbers can be entered in any order, I hate to break it to you, but ALL Simplex-type mechanical push button locks operate this way. This includes the door-knob key lock boxes used by most realtors. Regardless of whether you were previously aware of this basic design, it would be a stretch to call it a design flaw. It's been in use since the 1930s.

Rated 4 de 5 de JTM par Excellent product, easy to use I had a lock box with a wheel combination that was very finicky when trying to open. This push button model is much easier to enter the combination and much more reliable. My only complaint is that when it is opened, the combination can be changed by whoever opened it. I wish it was more secure than that.

Rated 3 de 5 de Anonyme par These are flawed, not safe, not secure The problem with these is that if you set a password like 123456, you can open it using those same numbers IN ANY ORDER, that means if you try enough times you are almost guaranteed to crack it. I have tried two different brands and both do the same thing, this is not broken it is a design flaw.

Including mounting hardware or recommendations for size of mounting hardware. 2. Putting a small key hook inside the box. At designed, a normal-size door key cannot lie in the bottom of the box without interfering with closing the door. I have to delicately balance the key in the box in a "standing" position to allow the door to close.

Rated 2 de 5 de Darrell par Safe not all that safe I purchased this safe to use outside as a spare key holder. In case I got locked out of the house. Upon opening the safe and learning how to set the code. I realized that the code that is set can be input in any sequence. Example if code was 1234... you could enter 3214, 4321, 2413. Any combination using those numbers and the safe will open. Not all that safe in my eyes. Other than that the product is great and everything it says on the box. Mounted it on a brick wall outside without a issue.

Rated 3 de 5 de Brian par Need to remove the “Master” logo from the cover. Good design and easy to install. This lock code is very simple to change and the unit itself is very easy to operate and seems well made. Unfortunately, the manufacturer decided to put their logo on the front cover which identifies it as a lockbox to passers by. I used a sander to get rid of the logo and now the lock looks like an inconspicuous phone wire junction box.
