So this is why the 6 gallon Tank was on sale. I gotta say, it does look decent. Definitely an upgrade but not for an extra $400. Anybody actually buy one yet? What's it like?

Rated 5 de 5 de On the Bay par Fence Building Superstar—The Tank [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started my fence with an older wheeled compressor that was pretty worn out. It could not build up enough pressure to drive galvanized ring nails, I quickly discovered. Besides that, it was a beast to move around my sloped yard. The Metabo “Tank” solved both problems in a hurry. I had to tone it down a ways to get the nail heads driven just right, but once I had it dialed in, it worked consistently, and had plenty of staying power in the tank. It was at least a third quieter than the old compressor as well. For a 69 year old, it was pretty agreeable to haul around as I worked. Five hundred fence boards later, I think the fence turned out pretty nice!

My company builds barndominiums and pole frame structures, and The Tank fits right in on any stage of our building, from framing to interior trim work. The large 8 gallon tank holds plenty of air, ensuring that the compressor doesn't' keep running and running. The large rubber tires makes pulling or pushing The Tank around the outdoor jobsite an ease. The large tires and collapsible handle are an awesome feature in our line of work. The mobility of this compressor is terrific. The Tank also has a lot of power, filling the tank and keeping it full very quickly. The gauges are easy to read and the air pressure adjustment works great. Features like this and the attention to detail Metabo HPT puts into The Tank definitely make it one of our favorite Metabo HPT tools!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a general contractor and have been in construction for 45 years doing just about anything and everything with building/remodeling homes. I recently tried out the new Metabo HPT 8 gallon tank, I have the 3 gallon Metabo tank and was curious how this one would do. My crew and I used the compressor on framing a 1200 sq. ft. house on slab. We used two framing guns simultaneously. I was impressed how it kept up with both guns. It was ready right out of the box, no assembly required. I like the heavy duty 5.5 foot cord, although I would have liked if it was 7-8 feet instead. It's easy to roll around the job and has a great roll cage to protect the compressor. All in all a good addition to my Metabo tools family.

It has the ability to run 4 roofing guns but easy enough to roll out for fascia repairs. The extra capacity keeps it from running constantly and we instantly noticed the reduced noise on the job site. Our high end clientele will certainly appreciate that we aren't running the gas engines during our installations. Thank you Metabo for more great equipment!

Rated 5 de 5 de ROB128 par Powerful Compressor in a Compact Package This product replaces a 15-gallon vertical DeWalt air compressor that was leaking air from the baseplate and drain valve. The Metabo HPT is significantly better than the DeWalt in terms of delivering sufficient air to operate my tools. I am a homeowner, not a contractor. Although the Metabo is less noisy than the DeWalt you’ll still need hearing protection if used in an enclosed space like a workshop or a garage. According to my sound meter the Metabo is a lot louder than advertised (92 dB as opposed to the claimed 71 dB). The Metabo is surprisingly compact since the height is minimal and it can be stored but not operated in the vertical position saving even more space. It also rolls quite easily and safely despite the weight. I like this Metabo and I’m glad I did the research and purchased it.

I've been using this compressor for about 2 weeks and it has been an amazing additon. The 8 gallon tank is nice upgrade. The larger size means less refilling which is great for on site work. It's always such a nuisance to have the motor cutting on in a clients house. That being said, the motor when refilling is a lot quieter than I expected. So, less run time and quieter when running are definitely worth a gold star in my book. The retractable handle makes for easy maneuverability. The higher PSI capability is more than I need but is great to have just in case. PSI adjustment is very simple and the gauges are easily visible. This is a solid air tank that works great as a shop unit or an on site unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a framer by trade but do a little bit of everything from time to time. I have been using the Metabo HPT 8 Gallon Tank for a few weeks now and I am highly impressed! I have had it on framing jobs and trim/siding jobs, it's been out in 50 degree weather and 90 degree weather, rain and shine and it hasn't missed a beat! The large capacity tank is superior to the 2 small tank wheel barrow compressor design in my opinion. Not only does it make the compressor lighter but it allows more air to be saved at a higher pressure therefore reducing run time! I was pleasantly surprised to see that even with 3 framing guns running the compressor didn't just run all day long. The Tank holds up to 225 lbs of of pressure in one cycle. This gives the guns plenty of air even when rapid nailing, such as marrying beams or trusses together, which equals less time finish setting nails with your hammer. The trolley system is so nice!! The long handle and medium sized wheels make it so easy to drag behind you even in the rough terrain that can be found on a new construction framing site. Also the bottom of the trolley is well protected so traversing over rocks and up or down stairs you can feel confident your not going to damage any components. Its extremely light weight so it can be loaded easily into the back of a truck by one person if need be, and doesn't take up a ton of room. The regulator is easy to adjust the guages are easy to read, the quick connect couplers make hooking up air lines a breeze, it fills super fast. All and all I would say this is definitely the best compressor I've owned. The amount of attention Metabo pays to detail really shines here. This is a tool made for the people that use it. You can tell that Metabo has listened to their customers wants and needs, and delivered a product that is reliable and convient. In one day The Tank replaced our old compressor and earned its spot in my truck.

Rated 5 de 5 de BOMBSQD1 par A Nice Capable Compressor I bought this "The Tank 8 Gal....", about 3 weeks ago and it works great. The running compressor is relatively quiet and gets up to pressure quickly. Easy to move around. I would like to see a couple of brackets welded on this unit to coil up at least a 50' ft heavy duty air hose on and a longer power cord. Otherwise, a really nice unit and a great buy!
