Rated 5 de 5 de Robyn par Huge and Well Made Don't shy away from this freezer because it's not a well-known brand. It's well-made and has a lot of room! We bought it to store deer meat and have 2 deer in it now with lots of room to spare. This can be used as a freezer or a refrigerator, but we use it as a freezer. The only complaint I have is that the door is hard to open (great seal) and there is no handle on the front to help. You have to "pry" it open from the side. Also, you want to make sure you close the door all of the way. I thought I did and managed to ruin a freezer full of food. the freezer has a lock so kids can't get in, or you can lock in in a public setting to keep thieves out.

That is what we intended it for, I did not know until after we bought it that it could be set as either a refrigerator or freezer. The only problem we've had with it was that I could not get one of the adjusting feet on the front to budge to raise the front of the freezer to level it. I ended up adjusting the one I could move, and had to rig up some shims under the foot that wouldn't move to level it. Not ideal, as the foot will slide a bit on the shims when opening/closing the freezer door. I'm going to have to figure out a more permanent solution of something under that foot so it doesn't slide around.

Rated 3 de 5 de Cash par Freezer works great, but not the refrigerator I bought 2 units. One to run in as a freezer and one to be run as a refrigerator. The freezer works great but the refrigerator unit is always “warm”. I put a thermometer in the back and it’s coldest temperature is 40F and gets as high as 50F! I use it for beverages now but I would like to be able to but meat in there but I don’t feel comfortable doing so know it gets up to 50F!

We just bought this and sheesh -- had I known it would be this difficult to open I would have continued looking. I seriously cannot walk to the freezer with something in one hand and hope to open the freezer with the other. I have to use two hands -- one to brace the body of the unit (so it doesn't move!) and one to tug the door. I have issues with my neck, so this hurts a lot. I hope it performs well -- no reason to think it won't, but opening it shouldn't be such a chore. Also, if you do purchase this item, be sure it capture the serial number on the back of it before you load it. Again, what were they thinking?

Rated 5 de 5 de Retired sailor Steve par Works Great, just ensure give it time to stabilize Began to think the unit had a problem but it took about 5 days for the refrigerator to stabilize and keep a pretty steady temperature. Controls are super simple, Freezer or Refrigerator then Cold, Colder, Coldest. We are using as an all-refrigerator and it appears to go into a defrost mode on a timer like a freezer does so don't be surprized to see it at 50-52 degrees for a brief time once in a while. If there was one downside it's that it could have another shelf or two since you could easily stack two cases, one atop the other, on each shelf. The inside is HUGE and the unit is way to tall for me to store garden sprays, cleaners, car wax atop, much to the delight of my wife.
