Caractéristiques

Ultracolor Plus avec technologie DropEffect(mc) est un coulis avec sable, modifié aux polymères, à prise rapide et de qualité supérieure, sans retrait ni efflorescence et de couleur uniforme, employé pour des joints de 3 mm à 2,5 cm (1/8 po à 1 po) de largeur. La technologie DropEffect réduit l'absorption à la surface afin d'aider à repousser l'eau et les saletés pour les empêcher de pénétrer dans les joints de coulis. Ultracolor Plus est formulé spécialement selon la technologie HCTMC (technologie d'hyperhydratation cimentaire), exclusive à Mapei, afin d'éliminer les problèmes usuels associés aux coulis de ciment Portland, touchant notamment à l'uniformité de la couleur et à l'efflorescence.

Coulis tout-en-un pour des largeurs de joints de 1/16 po à 3/4 po, ce qui évite d'avoir à acheter un coulis avec et sans sable pour le même projet

Can this be applied dry directly on the surface of fresh cement to add color? Should it me added to a cement mix to color the entire batch of cement? Can either technique be used or neither? Thanks!

Rated 4 de 5 de Mx34 par Regrout [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a veteran flooring installer was working on my old house Recently remodel a bathroom used this grout to re-grout the shower and floor instead of replacing all the tile this product work great the color does stay true to the color label on the bag when mixed properly I will add this product set up faster than Regular grout so be cautious of that while grouting your time is limited Also cleanup will be a little different please read the instructions carefully otherwise it will turn your job into an a lot more work

After 20 minutes or so it will start to solidify in the container you have it in. For instance, I first mixed the whole bag per the instructions and I ended up losing more than half because I wasn't moving fast enough.

After much hesitation and wringing of hands, I bit the bullet and bought Mapei Ultracolor Plus FA (Pewter) for my new 12x24 porcelain shower walls and sliced stone mosaic curbless shower floor. Followed instructions to a "T", used 45 deg F cold, rainwater from my outside catchment. Applied in a 70 deg. F, 36% RH environment. Worked in 5 lbs batches with 16 oz. of water. I got about 25-30 mins of good working time from the mix, and was able to then do quick clean-up of the area without much difficulty. I found the grout wasn't as "fast" as others have reported, but that is likely due to cold water and favorable environmental conditions. I had no hardening of the product and no 'throw away'. I am more than happy with the workability of the product, the fidelity of the color, and the overall outcome of the job.

It sets so quickly the entire bucket of grout dried solid before we had applied to a 2x6’section of backsplash. Dried within 10 min of applying it, came out of joints unevenly. Mixed small batches from 2nd bag, but still not enough time to smooth joints out. We have done other tile projects with other brands of grout no problem. Still not happy with the finished product. NOT for do it yourself projects!!
