Ultracolor Plus avec technologie DropEffect(mc) est un coulis avec sable, modifié aux polymères, à prise rapide et de qualité supérieure, sans retrait ni efflorescence et de couleur uniforme, employé pour des joints de 3 mm à 2,5 cm (1/8 po à 1 po) de largeur. La technologie DropEffect réduit l'absorption à la surface afin d'aider à repousser l'eau et les saletés pour les empêcher de pénétrer dans les joints de coulis. Ultracolor Plus est formulé spécialement selon la technologie HCTMC (technologie d'hyperhydratation cimentaire), exclusive à Mapei, afin d'éliminer les problèmes usuels associés aux coulis de ciment Portland, touchant notamment à l'uniformité de la couleur et à l'efflorescence.

Rated 5 de 5 de Aaron par Misinformation I read a lot of negative reviews about this product about how it is difficult to work with, doesnt mix well, isnt true to color. i used warm gray on a polished marble tile wall in my bathroom and I had no issues. i followed the jnstructions on the bag. 1qt of water per 10lb bag. mixed for 5 mins with a paint mixer attachment, and it spread easily for the 30 mins i had it sitting in the bucket. this was my first time grouting. me and my wife both applied it to the wall since we were slow and it was our first time but we had no problems with this product

Rated 5 de 5 de Broom98 par Worked great for regrouping our stall shower Our house is an older house and the person before us tiled the shower with stone tile with a sanded grout it started crumbling and shrinking which had started some leaks. So after 2 days of cutting out the old grout I mixed the 10 lb bag with 1.1 quarts of water an used my electric drill with a plastic paint stirrer for 5 minutes.. as all grouts are a pain to work with this product was easier to use and I had finished the walls and floor of the shower in 30 minutes. I could have went a little longer if needed but was fearful of not finishing in time. Two thumbs up! Now the bad cleaning the tiles 5 times but as you know that has to happen with all grout any volunteers.

I've been using this product for about five months now, and I have never had such consistent color and performance results with any grout that I have ever used in the last 30 years. The first thing you have to realize this is not a standard grout. There are no cementitious materials in this at all. The second thing is you must read the directions on how to mix, apply, and wipe the grout. If you don't mix the grout exactly as the bag says, the color will be spotty. If you don't wipe the grout as the directions state, you will pull too much pigment out of the grout and it will be spotty. Pay attention to the times stated in the directions for each step. It is extremely important. Long story short, don't treat it like it's an old-school grout. If you follow the directions, the result will be perfect every time.

Rated 4 de 5 de stonepero par Great product. Color dries inconsistently This product is almost like a mousse when you stir it up, it goes on very easily, dries quickly and doesn't require sealing. I got the warm gray color. In many places, it dried almost white, and in many other places, it dried a decidedly darker color. So, though I'd recommend almost everything about this product, the color inconsistency is an issue

Rated 1 de 5 de GianDough par Old School Prevails These new formulations are a waste of time and money. They easily turn effervescent and dries incredibly too fast. It may be ok for tiny projects with various grout sizes in one space but not for 200+ sq ft applications. It doesn’t show a classic cementitious texture, has variations in color, even in the bucket waste, so no it’s not the wiping process, and not the water quality as the same water in old fashioned Grout Is just fine. Not recommended for professionals or DIY’rs. Just get the cheap old school cementitious classic looking and classic applying materials and you will eliminate your frustrations.

I guess some people had this product set before they could get all the grout between the tiles. I didn't have this problem at all. I was working alone and able to lay half bag batches of this grout with no issue. I do recommend wiping the tiles with a sponge quickly after you've set your grout down as this product will set quicker than other grouts. Don't wait longer than 30 minutes or it's going to be harder to clean all that grout haze off.

I installed this grout on the wall above a bathtub. This grout should have a huge warning label on the front that says it will set up in 30 minutes. I read where it was fast setting on the instructions, but literally in 30 minutes, the grout was set up so much in my bucket, that I couldn't use it. Then while I was cleaning the grout off of one of the walls, the other 2 walls set up and I couldn't get it off. So I'm spending hours with a razor blade scraping grout off of my tile. I hope it hasn't ruined anything.

Rated 5 de 5 de Momma par Good grout, BUT Warm Gray is lighter than pictured We were pretty happy with this grout, BUT there are a few things you should know BEFORE YOU USE IT. 1) In Mapei reps' responses to questions about mixing less than a full batch, they say to use a 3 to 1 ratio of powder to water by volume. DO NOT DO THIS. We disregarded the problems a YouTube DIY'er had with this ratio (that it resulted in a very runny mixture) and followed the instructions ourselves. We also got a runny mixture, more like a melting milkshake than smooth peanut butter. We were concerned about adding more powder and mixing in too much air (see #2 below) and used the mixture. In about 40 minutes, it didn't even start to set enough to clean off the residue. If you use the CORRECT ratio, using 1 pound of grout powder to 100ml (or 100grams) of distilled water, it came out the correct consistency. Measuring powder by volume leaves room for SIGNIFICANT variation and should be avoided. 2) One note on Mapei's online instructions that we didn't see on the bag AT ALL was to mix with a SLOW-moving drill, because a faster drill can mix in too much air, resulting in significantly reduced pot time (working time). This was part of the reason we didn't mix in more powder when we got the soupy results noted above, and it's probably what happened to most of the folks whose grout set up too quickly for them to spread it. 3) The WARM GRAY color we bought ended up looking almost white when it dried. I will try to include a photo that shows the color swatch on the bag and the actual color it ended up. For reference, the flower on the tile is a cooler gray and white. So my tips are: 1) mix the whole bag OR use 1 pound of powder to 100ml (100grams) of cool distilled water, 2) download the full instructions from Mapei's website and read carefully, including the one saying to mix it SLOWLY, and 3) consider buying a darker color than you think you want to get the actual color you thought it would be.
