Caractéristiques

Ultracolor Plus avec technologie DropEffect(mc) est un coulis avec sable, modifié aux polymères, à prise rapide et de qualité supérieure, sans retrait ni efflorescence et de couleur uniforme, employé pour des joints de 3 mm à 2,5 cm (1/8 po à 1 po) de largeur. La technologie DropEffect réduit l'absorption à la surface afin d'aider à repousser l'eau et les saletés pour les empêcher de pénétrer dans les joints de coulis. Ultracolor Plus est formulé spécialement selon la technologie HCTMC (technologie d'hyperhydratation cimentaire), exclusive à Mapei, afin d'éliminer les problèmes usuels associés aux coulis de ciment Portland, touchant notamment à l'uniformité de la couleur et à l'efflorescence.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grout has a purpose and that is not the once a year do it yourself person. This stuff sets up and hardens fast. It is a fast setting grout people. You can walk on it in a few hours, stuff was rock solid in 2 hours here in Hawaii. Although im cleaning the grout for the whole 2 hours to make sure the lines are clean. If you need to walk on the grout asap this is your grout. If not get the FlexQ stuff as that is my go to for all needs. I attached a photo of it in a bathroom. Honestly had to wipe it down 20 times to get to this. The FlexQ stuff only takes maybe 3 wipe downs with the sponge.

Rated 1 de 5 de DIgdug par Worst Grout EVER Do NOT buy this product. The directions state that it is quick dry. What they don't say is this will be dry within 15 minutes of spinning it out in the bucket. I'm not a pro, but I have laid a whole lot of tile and this product was the worst I have ever used. Even mixing up only five pounds still left me with half a bucket of unusable clotted sand. Worse than the waste is the fact that if you don't start sponging and wiping almost immediately, you will be left with chunks of grout that you have to chip off. You better have a very fast helper coming up right behind you or you will be sorry...very sorry.

That being said, we were hoping for more of a breakdown on how much water to mix ratio if we only wanted to do a little bit at a time instead of the whole package. If that information was included we would have had an easier time getting started. All in all it’s a good product and we are happy with the results!

Rated 5 de 5 de Ranger par For porcelain tile and porch use. Very easy to use once the right consistenty is achieved. You might not want to mix the entire bag unless you are a seasoned pro. You will have a certain amount of time before the mix starts to cure. I suggest using a third to a half a bag at a time. I am well pleased on how the grouting of my porch and steps turned out. MAPEI makes the best products for grouting and mounting tile. I will use nothing else.

Rated 5 de 5 de gramnok par Works Well for Me Having read previously that this dries quickly, we went to work with one grouter, two grout wipers, and one bucket runner. We gave it about 15 minutes after grouting, and then the two wipers went to work. By working quickly and the fourth person keeping fresh buckets of water for them, it worked well and turned out great. Give it about an hour, and then wipe and polish with a dry cloth to loosen the haze on the grout. The nice thing about the quick drying is that a couple of hours later, it can be walked on without much worry.

Rated 5 de 5 de ksinmt par Works good if you follow directions and tips I was very nervous to use this product on our DIY bath remodel after reading so many bad reviews but we really didn't want to have to wait another 24 hrs after grouting before continuing on with our project. In addition to the bad reviews there are many good ones on this product with some very helpful tips. We went ahead and gave it a shot and it turned out really good! We followed the mixing directions to the tee, even going as far as to weigh the powder and measure the right amount of water since we only needed a partial bag to do our small 50 square ft floor. I used 8 oz of water to 2.5 lb of the grout, and mixed it by hand (other reviewers said to NOT use power tools). It was just the right amount for us. Used cold distilled water as I read that chlorine and fluoride in tap water can affect the color and cold water helps it not set so fast. Once we started grouting we timed it at 25 minutes (instructions say 15-30), then I started cleaning where we started while my husband finished grouting. You do have to move fairly quickly because it does set fast but that's what it's supposed to do. After 45 min the small amount left in our bucket was still a workable consistency. I did start noticing some color inconsistency after a few hours with some spots being lighter than others so got some cheese cloth and buffed the grout lines which helped a lot! It really turned out good. The color we chose (pearl gray) is slightly lighter than on the bag, which I expected, but nothing significant. Overall we are pleased with this product and glad we chose to use it. If you follow the directions and tips on these reviews it should be fine.

Rated 2 de 5 de Jenny par pretty annoyed I’m incredibly annoyed that this grout is much lighter when it dries and much lighter than the sample sticker on the bag. Apparently I should have gone with the ebony to get the slight contrast I was looking for. It’s only the correct color when it’s wet.
