When properly installed (screwed to studs along with the companion horizontal / hanger track), these vertical supports provide a robust foundation, allowing for any number of locking, shelf support arms w/ accompanying metal shelves - each capable of holding significant weight. Prompted by the collapse of cheap shelving systems (installed by previous owners), I’ve now installed this system in our pantry, 4 closets, and even in my work shop. An excellent investment for the DIY team!

Highly recommend buying the track plate to ensure all bars are level and evenly spaced. If using in garage through stucco don’t even bother trying without a hammer drill and I suggest an extra bit or two. Depending on bar length make sure you get deep enough tap on screws to secure hold! The more of these you install the more brackets your can buy to support wire shelves. Better to be safe than sorry. Try to space out evenly.

Rated 5 de 5 de LordSmoke par Easy answer to shelving installation This was purchased to construct a series of racks for my nice shoes and provide a little storage and a place to air out suits before returning to the closet. For my purposes I do not expect the system to experience the weight an actual closet shelf might. The store display with the cross-member connecting two uprights was a bit confusing (probably useful for higher load purposes). I decided it was unnecessary for me and attached directly to drywall. I did not like the associated attachments - either drywall butterfly clips or cement/wood anchors since I did not want to drill large holes in the wall and didn't know if there would be studs behind at any place. I went instead with no-drill dry-wall anchors from the hardware section, but had to buy a larger size than necessary to get additional, longer screws with sufficiently large heads to work.

I started out with the closet kit and added to it. Niceto have configurable and flexible space. One lesson I'd do differently is to possibly not go with the kit and the recommendation to begin the closey 7 ft from the ground, instead get longer uprights and install them toward the top of your closet in order to maximise the space more effectively.
