What is the weight of this product?

I don't know the absolute weight of the heater, but I am familiar with the functional weight, meaning that it is easily picked up and moved, and moved using the wheels on the bottom. This is an EXCELLENT heater, one we use everyday to heat one of the rooms in our northern Canada climate.

I went to the store and saw many oil heaters to buy but they appeared to be in repackaged boxes etc-I thought buying here on line I would get a new one-are the hearts at the store used or new? Thank you

Would this type of heater be a good choice for a semi- insulated attached 2 car garage ?

This is a great heater and very safe and quiet to use. If you want to take the chill off a 2 car garage it will do that but it doesn't take the place of a furnace. I heat my basement with it. It is radiant heat with no blower so it takes some time to feel the effect but once it heats the space it is good.

Is this safe around young children? We have a 11 month old and need a heater in her room. I just don’t want her to burn herlself if she gets curious.

This is not at all suitable around small children as it does get very warm to the touch.

Rated 5 de 5 de Chris K par A very good Portable Heater It doesn't give instant heat but it is oil filled so that's obvious. Consequently it does not cool off immediately either so once it gets going it goes to a lower power setting to save energy and it adjusts that setting automatically based on temperature. Very quiet, in fact I didn't hear anything. Our previous heater had a fan which was going constantly and was rather noisy. This also has a timer which to can set and it will shut off. So far this is a very good buy and it heated up our entire room, quietly.

I especially like its "ECO" mode where it controls the power setting automatically based on the difference between the room temperature and the temperature setting. Since I'm an electrical engineer, I checked the unit with AC power and temperature meters. There is 3 distinct power levels (Low:[email protected], Med:[email protected], Hi:[email protected]), which seem consistent with the product's advertising. The temperature setting was very accurate, the unit went Off when the air temp of the room reached the setting, it was right on, I was impressed. It very quietly goes about its business, cycling periodically at low power to maintain the 21C that I had set it to. It heats the air convectively, but since the sides are warm too, it also gives off radiant heat. I'm using it to heat an office area in our basement which does not get heated very well by the house's central furnace. I had previously purchased another (slightly cheaper) product from another retailer, but it was non-functional right out of the box (its thermostat function did not operate at all). It was returned for refund.

Rated 5 de 5 de Razz par Impressive. I have a couri that this delohngis replacing. the couri is a 1500 watt heater, and will not heat a 900 square ft room. It apparently shuts right off when it gets too hot. And I can place my hand on it when it’s really hot, not so with the drlonghi. Can’t keep my hand on it. So got this delonghi to replace it. And it heats up the room very well and fairly quickly. the digital thermo is actually pretty accurate. about a degree off. Love it. It’s only been one day, hope this heater lasts a long time.

When I come downstairs from second floor the temp difference was a 5-7 degree colder. Now when I come down, it’s very warm on the main floor.

Ran this product for 8 hours and measured the area with a infrared heat sensor and it hardly made any difference at all . The product is well built with a great design but it did not work for me . I am returning it once the lock down is lifted .

The heat is delivered in a gentle, yet penetrating way, and the heater gets to full heat in about 10 minutes. This heater can provide ample heat for a large room, running constantly. It's completely silent and adjusts to the set temperature really well. Overall an excellent purchase for 99$
