Rated 3 de 5 de Denny par Acceptable value for chisel set. Better value than the individual purchasing but the chisels require additional sharpening before use. Machined well but honing is necessary before use if you have better than average expectations of performance. Chisels should have a mirror-like finish on the cutting faces in order to perform well. These do not and you will spend hours attaining good sharp edges. If you have the time, this is fine but when you need to complete a job quickly, then this is simply one more task that needs to be done for the job.

Rated 5 de 5 de Rindo par Sharp out of the package These Chisels were ready to go as soon as I bought them. The bevel was good and they were plenty sharp with a nice smooth edge. Also I was especially with the full tang that had no covering over it. My other chisels have just a thin layer of plastic or leather over them and with this it feels like all of the energy is going straight to the blade and not being dissipated throughout the handle. For Being a Project Source Lowe's original product they are right up there with the more expensive Kobalt and Dewalt Products. I would recommend to anyone

Rated 1 de 5 de Mia par Cheap quality As soon as we start using it to shave down a bit off a cabinet the blade start denting in and losing its sharpness. It was useless. I cannot recommend it at all. I had to return it to the store.

Rated 5 de 5 de RoxyMomma par Chisel set (3) I was re-doing my daughter's room & decided to put in a new door. How difficult could that be? I naively thought.... Turns out, it was a nightmare... Once I took the trim off the door frame (I replaced that too), I could see the builders actually put together scrap pieces to make a door frame. Nothing was even, nothing was measured accurately or followed the basic sizes for doors. I guess they cut the door down in a rush to so as to fit. Their pathetic lack of craftsmanship was apphauling... I purchased a door (closest) to the size of the door frame & then used a block plane to shave it down until it was the right size. But.... Then I had to chisel out (using these wonderful tools) an area for an extra hinge (the original door only came with 2, and this new door came with 3). These chisels were an absolute life saver! Good quality, easy to use & it saved the day! Not bad for a 49 year old woman who never did anything like this in her life! Watching YouTube videos and having the will to succeed & not give up were invaluable! The room & door look GREAT!

Rated 3 de 5 de Alex par Decent introductory product, atrocious packaging These chisels are decent enough. The tip has visible imperfections. You might want to start by sharpening them. Sure, they're not going to win any awards for quality, but they cost about a cup of coffee each, so you can't expect too much. Any other single chisel in the store costs as much as this whole set. This is a great solution for people like me who only need a chisel rarely. By the time one breaks or wears out, you'll have a better idea what you need. I need to call special attention to the packaging (not pictured). It's a nearly impenetrable plastic shell. Opening it will be easier if you have another set of chisels already. Or a jigsaw. The chisels warn "WARNING: WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES" but the most dangerous step is getting them out of the plastic.

Without a router I needed to flush fit hinges to to my custom 15 lite french type door. With a straight and sharp edged these chisels preformed just as I need them to for an attractive hing fit. I would highly recommend this quality set with for any top notch job at an economical price. *****
