Caractéristiques

À utiliser pour remplacer un capuchon de hotte endommagé. Plastique à peindre résistant aux UV. Ce produit comporte un système de volets à persiennes qui empêche l'air froid, la neige ou la pluie de pénétrer dans la maison. Les persiennes ont été redessinées pour éviter qu'elles ne collent. Il est doté de 3 persiennes. De plus, tous les capuchons ProVent ont une ligne de calfeutrage en retrait pour faciliter une application propre du calfeutrage. Revêtement résistant aux UV pour empêcher la décoloration du chapeau et pouvant être peint pour s'harmoniser avec l'extérieur de votre maison. Ces capuchons peuvent être utilisés avec de la brique, du béton ou du bardage.

I had one on my house when I built it 20 years ago and planned to replace it with a higher end cap when finances improved. It worked so well and was easy to clean . No air blew in in winter, no water or anything else until this spring when a ground squirrel are the bottom louver. I was again going to buy a more costly unit, but the remembered how well the old one held up. Also if another squrrel eats this one, it is inexpensive to replace. In short, value and function far exceed cost. I would recommend this unit with no reservations.

Rated 4 de 5 de Mikemojc par Dryer vent Bought this to add a dryer vent into the garage for Winter. Easy to install, I just cut a snug hole through the laundry room drywall, pushed the insulation aside, cut through the drywall on the other side to the garage. Slide the vent in from the garage side, 4 drywall screws and done. Moved the dryer hose to the new vent, plugged the old exterior vent with some old towels until we switch it over this Spring. Probably paid for itself the first night with this crazy cold we've been having. We have an electric clothes dryer, so talk to someone smarter than me before interior venting with a NG or propane dryer, as the exhaust might be an issue.

Rated 4 de 5 de Shawn par Lasts about 5 years I bought one of these for the last house I built and had to replace at about 5 years. Now I am buying another one (knowing that). Primarily because I installed a piece of sewer pipe (thin walled PVC) for this to slide into. It's an extremely tight fit but it will fit inside the flanged end of sewer pipe. As long as you have a convenient way to replace this when it dry-rots after 5 years, I recommend. Otherwise it's a pain to remove screws, clean up caulk/silicone, reattach, reseal, etc.

Rated 3 de 5 de Tommyboy par Worked Great but Plastic Breaks down from weather Worked fine initially, but the plastic breaks down over time ( 3 years ). This unit was not located in the sun but still became brittle, cracked and fell apart. I will be going back and looking to see if they have something sturdier, but may buy again because I know it fits and works where installed.

I pried the old one off of the vent pipe and fitted the new one on and attached it to the house with 4 screws. It has been working fine...lets the hot moist air out, and the louvers close when not in use to keep bugs and the outside air where they belong. Easy to install...

Rated 5 de 5 de Dick par Dryer Vent door Inexpensive and works well. The dryer actually works better than without a door. I like having 3 small flaps instead of one large one. Less air comes inside if a flap gets stuck.
