Rated 5 de 5 de Jennifer par Exit Only Dryer Vent! I am very pleased with this vent. When the dryer is running the flaps lift and the hot air escapes easily. When not running, there is no way for birds to nest or (larger) bugs to enter the vent. Looks good on house, not an eyesore. It was easy to install (we did not drill holes in our brick to install-we simply sealed it to the house). The tube was just the right length for us to remove 90% of the hose excess that was inside originally. It didn't line up perfectly with the dryer height wise, but we weren't expecting it to. Would buy again if I ever needed another one. If I had a con it would be that I had to buy it twice. When I bought it the first time it was the only one no the shelf and had no tube attached (so I didn't realize it came with one). I returned it after seeing the "please review item" email and realizing that it did in fact come with one. No fault of the product, but make sure you get both pieces! :)

The inside tube was a little too long for my laundry room, but cut easily with a pair of kitchen scissors; no tin snips needed. There were no screws included but that allowed me to pick the right length for the shingled siding.

Since everyone knows that you're supposed to replace that "flex duct" cause it clogs up with lint and can cause fires, I decided to cut a hole through my wall in my trailer and exhaust my dryer through there and use straight pipe with a "varmint" stopper on it. This fit the bill GREAT, the dryer sounds quieter, and the vents drop down as soon as the dryer stops and was easy to install(after cutting through the wall and cutting the pipe just right), but, this is why it doesn't rate 5 stars, it doesn't come with mounting screws(or some kind of mounting set) and some kind of a seal to keep out the rain. If you don't think about this when you buy it then you have to make a second trip to the store.

Rated 5 de 5 de Chucky9 par Great buy! After a hail storm shattered my old dryer vent I had to get a new one. Lowe's floor-man showed the available options to me and explained their various benefits. This vent is fantastic! It was very easy to install and has a thin profile so hail probably won't get this one. The best part it's that it's easy to clean and seems to be able to keep mice out! It's a great dryer vent.

Any hose you have should have a clamp, but you need attachment screws (#8) to secure it to the building. The connecting pipe is thin metal and is difficult to fit in semi-rigid Hose. However, it lets the dryer air outside and keeps the outside air from coming in.
