I have had grub damage over the summer and just finished patching and reseeding. Can I apply this in mid-September and will it be effective? can you also please email the detailed application notes? Thanks

Posée par: Mortpro
Hello Mortpro, late August to Mid-September is a perfect time to apply GrubOut as this is when the eggs from the white grubs hatch and start to feed on your lawn. We would be more then happy to email you a chart on application tips and timing. Please reach out to us at [email protected]

Are these stored in a refrigerator at your store? Or, are they shelf stable?  How many million nematodes are included per package?

Posée par: Pb33
Hello Pb33, The GrubOut Nematodes do not need to be refrigerated and are shelf stable. There are 8 million nematodes per package of Wilson GrubOut. Thank you!

You mention in one of your answers that it is best to start applying early August and continue yet the product says it can be applied in April. I had the grubs last year but waited too long to have it treated. Is there any point in applying it now??

Posée par: Ticktock
Hello Ticktock, Thank you for your question. Depending on the year's weather, applying in April could be too cold for the nematodes and if there was a freeze, they could die in the soil. If it's a warm, early spring, April would be fine. The ideal conditions to be applied is when the soil temperature is between 10⁰C and 30⁰C. You want to apply when the grubs are actively feeding and near the soil surface - that is usually April to mid June and again at the end of July, early August. In July, most grubs have turned into beetles and are laying their eggs.

Can this product be used for indoor plants to get rid of fungus gnat? What dilution should be made?

Posée par: Karen G

for how long the bugs stay away after I spray it.

Posée par: Zahi
The Nematodes are way to good at their job. They will likely kill 95% of the grubs in your soil and then start to starve to death. Therefore you will probably need to replace them every 12 months. Remember to wait till the whole package dissolves into the the 1st Liter of water. They are slow to get going and seem to be happy staying in a big lump so give them 20 min. to an hour stirring now and then. Then mix a 2nd mix at 60ml of the 1st L of mix into 4 L of water, this can then be applied with a sprayer set to a heavy spray droplet or a watering can. At this rate you should have 16Gal. of the 2nd mix which has to cover 3000sqft. You may as well use all of it if you have less sqft cause it won't keep. You want the mix to end up on the earth not the grass so if a good rain comes shortly after application great or use a sprinkler for 1/2 hr. or a hose end sprayer. The lawn soil should be wet before you apply the 2nd mix so that the mix won't dry out on the grass before you get it watered into the soil. This stuff as I said works very well but now you know why people are having trouble with it. It's kind of a demanding procedure, and not too well explained.

Est-ce que je peux le mettre dans mon jardin ? Est-ce dangereux pour mes légumes?

Insecticide pour nématodes, Wilson, GrubOut est évalué 2.3 de 5 de 7.
Rated 2 de 5 de par Didn't really stop pests Bought this in late Sept and applied one "tea bag" after watering for three days and then it rained for the next two days after application. A week later applied the other "tea bag". There were no issues with the application, no clogging and the warm water used to dissolve the "tea bag" made a brown sludge. When I was done, I put the "tea bag" on a really bad portion of lawn in case more nematodes could be released and left it for a few days. About two weeks after the second application my lawn was ravaged overnight and was the worst I've ever seen it. I've now laid chicken wire down which seems to be helping. Not sure the nematodes did anything.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Rated 1 because there is nothing lower What a waste of money! I had read other reviews about clogging so I carefully read and followed the instructions. The bag DOES NOT dissolve,, the stuff inside is like glue, gums up the applicator. At the end of 45 minutes trying to to apply this sludge, I gave up

Rated 1 de 5 de par I wish I could give it a 0 I bought this and thought the other reviews were wrong, but this product is complete garbage!!! i spent so much time trying to unclog the sprayer, that it isn't worth it. I used 3 different sprayers and it clogged them all. I used hot water and tried to dissolve the "gel" but it doesn't all dissolve and that is what clogs the sprayer! Poor design ... I am just going to spend the extra money and buy the pellets that you spread on the ground to dissolve.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Hard to aoply Even mixing in warm water it did not fully dissolve and formed a gel that continually clogged hose intake line, screen, and novel so not at all please with ease of application.
Date de publication: 2020-06-27
Rated 1 de 5 de par Does not dissolve! As previous comments from others this product does not dissolve well. I followed direction step by step using this product. What a waste of money it was!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Works better than granular in Canada I have bought this product several times over the years to deal with signs of grubs when I’m digging up the lawn for gardens. My lawn is green, thick and healthy. I’ve tried a granular grub killer offered by s competitor to no success. This stuff works great!
